Hang with Jesus What circumstances in your life now or in the past has made you doubt your faith? Count the cost of following Jesus and wonder is it worth it? Pulled you to drift away from your faith in Jesus the Christ? The issue of the security of the believer is what is being addressed here.  So what we should do 1. Be Humble 2. Avoid making it more than it should be  3. Wrestle 4. Do not take it personal - be humble 5. See the Bottom line - We need to encourage others to stick to Jesus making a decision to confirm their salvation. 6. Focus on winning the soul rather than the debate The Concern = Turning away Do you know someone? Are you struggling with the gravity of this world? sin The Reason = Jesus is better/greater in every way than: Hebrews 1:1-3 - Jesus is greater than the prophets - in these last days he has spoken to us in His Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature and upholds all things by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:4 - Jesus is better than angels - Having become much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. Hebrews 3:1-6 - Jesus is better than Moses - For He (Jesus) has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Hebrews 4:14 - Jesus is better than priesthood - Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 5:1-6  - Jesus is better than Aaron - You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek. v 10 - being designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:4-7 - Jesus is better than Abraham - Now observe how great this man was to whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the choicest spoils. Hebrews 7:22 - Jesus is a better covenant - So much more also Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. Hebrews 9:11 - Jesus is a better tabernacle - But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation. Hebrews 9:14-23; 10:10 - Jesus is a better sacrifice - How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 10 - By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 12 18-24 - Jesus is better than Sinai - and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.  Understanding this, the writer's explanation that they have come to a better mountain than Sinai makes sense: "You have not come to a mountain that can be touched." Zion, to which they had come, is a spiritual mountain, whereas Sinai was a physical mountain that could be touched only at pain of death. Today Jesus is still better.
