In this episode, I traveled to Miami, FL to hit with some local players and check out the stadium in Crandon Park, Key Biscayne. Crandon Park Tennis Center, located on Key Biscayne, Florida, has a rich history in the world of tennis. The center is primarily known for hosting the Miami Open, one of the most prestigious tournaments in professional tennis.Founding and Early Years: The Crandon Park Tennis Center was established in 1969, and it quickly became a prominent venue for tennis events. Its location on the picturesque Key Biscayne, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, added to its allure.Miami Open: In 1987, the Miami Open, formerly known as the Lipton International Players Championship, moved to Crandon Park. The tournament gained significance as a key event in the lead-up to the Grand Slam tournaments. Over the years, Crandon Park became synonymous with thrilling matches, iconic victories, and a vibrant atmosphere.Notable Matches and Champions: The stadium witnessed numerous historic moments, including legendary matchups and victories by tennis greats.
