We absolutely loved hearing Hannah Ryan's story of becoming a director. Her passion for her craft and dedication to developing stories is so evident from our conversation, and we loved learning about some of her current and former projects. In this episode, we talked about her role as Resident Director of Hamilton and what reopening looks like for the production. We also spoke about the unique nature of directing collegiate theatre during the pandemic, and what it was like teaching during this time. One of our favorite talking points was Hannah’s creative collective Nettleworks, which explores themes of modern womanhood, native landscapes, and creative grief through original writing and site-specific productions. It was such a pleasure to chat with Hannah, and we are certain this episode will resonate with you. Enjoy!
