Hans of Iceland Chapter XXVIII

In which a solitary traveller named Ordener presses onward through the bleak and misty Norwegian mountains, seeking the dread Walderhog cave reputed for its singing tomb and dancing bones, undeterred by the superstitions and fearful warnings of the local folk. Within the humble home of a fisherman’s family, he encounters the gruff mountaineer Kennybol, whose wary respect and cryptic encouragement hint at a deeper purpose behind the young man’s perilous quest.
