In this message, Dr. Youssef declares that true meekness is not weakness, but strength surrendered to the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). This meekness grows only after we confess our spiritual bankruptcy and learn to mourn over our sin. Meekness is the power to remain steady when wronged, to trust God’s justice when others slander, and to refrain from revenge when given the chance. Dr. Youssef points to Abraham, Joseph, and ultimately Christ, whose strength was perfectly controlled in obedience to the Father. This is the third step in the superstructure of true happiness—a life yielded daily to the authority of God.
