Three days earlier, following a MONSTER jam with five of the original six Allman Brothers, Duane Allman called his younger brother Gregg home from L.A. Gregg arrived at the Gray House, the communal home of the Second Coming, Dickey Betts and Berry Oakley’s band, directly from the road. The sound was so powerful, it knocked him backwards.
