Happy Hoping

Send us Fan MailWhen my dad was teaching me to float, he would hold his hands under me and then tell me to tip my head back and trust his arms. He then would gently pull them back, then put them under me, pull them back, then put them under me until I realized I was floating. Two wonderful things occurred. Knowing that I could trust my dad to be there and then when I did it on my own, I felt so empowered. That memory and the topic of this podcast, reminds me of a singing group that used to be at Wartburg College, in Waverly, IA where we lived until this past year. The name of the group was "Hope Floats." I love that name. In times like these, I want to rely on Hope to keep me up, just as my dad's hands did. I want that trust in hope to keep me buoyant no matter what we may have to face in this world. Hope can help us float.Thanks for listening.
