I love when he says, “The happiness that Jesus wants to give us is not a happiness that’s based on our circumstances. The happiness that Jesus wants to give to us is a happiness of becoming who we were meant to be.” That is such an important reminder. It is easy to think that we will be happy if everything in our life is in line with what the world deems is successful. Pastor Derwin reminds us that happiness is not found in those worldly successes, but rather in fully stepping into our role as Christ followers, and falling deeply in love with who Jesus is.
