Happy "National Pet Day"!!!

from ROCK MORNINGS · host Brian Simpson

One more day until the weekend! We started you off with the Thursday song this morning. Talked about Shohei Ohtani's interpreter getting ready to plead guilty, and Shaw shared some cool info about an organ donation awareness campaign happening at hospitals around the country. We had two excellent & uplifting stories this morning - one about a senior dog rescue center holding a "Geezer Gala" for the pooches…and another story about a retired teacher who recently reunited with about 100 of his former students to watch the eclipse. In case you were unaware, today is "National Pet Day", and it's also "National Poutine Day"! The Arizona Coyotes might be moving to Utah next season, and the Chiefs-A-Holic guy is BIG TIME guilty. Found out that more people rely on Google than they rely on their traditional education, and we gave you a tip on dealing with anger management. During today's "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who can't drive his own car anymore, a mom who killed her partner because of the eclipse, a skier in Colorado who died trying to perform a trick, a drone search for a lost dog in Russia, another online "challenge" has people almost losing their toes, a bunch of light poles got stolen, a guy who had two of his fingers amputated, and the Mexican eclipse that just HAS to be seen!
