Happy (Sad?) Birthday!

Yesterday was my 31st birthday. I've celebrated three birthdays since losing my dad, and I tell you what...birthdays can feel heavy after parent loss. You can't really go the entire day without thinking about your parents at least a little bit on your birthday as you are a part of them. In this episode I share about the day, what it looked like, the tough moments, and the moments filled with laughter & beauty. A friend gave me a piece of advice before my first birthday without my dad that I continually live by when it comes to these kinds of days or holidays. I share that in this episode. Birthdays are a day to celebrate life & being grateful for life but they are also a day to remember the ones who loved getting to celebrate you on these special days.
