Send us Fan Mail Its unofficially National Single Mom's Day! I hear yah, Mother's Day is next month, so why are we having a separate day? Society doesn't give single moms the same respect as a married Mom. Society states we didn't do it right because we weren't married prior to conceiving the child. Yet, as a single mom we have more responsibility because decisions/input we would get from the male parent who isn't present or refuses to be accountable for his part and now the mom has the sole responsibility.
