Happy Snanniversary, Part One

from Sneople At The Movies · host Infinity Break

Happy Snanniversary, beloved listeners! Our one year anniversary was technically on the 14th so yes maybe the last episode could have been our one year episode but also it was very important that we talked about Karl Urban, okay. The important thing is we're here now and we are going to tackle a long awaited topic: movie musicals! Your Sneople go through a personal history with musical theater, talk about why you can't convince anyone to like the things you like, and get fired up about accessibility in theater. They also bemoan the state of Sondheim movie adaptations because, really, they cut No More out of the move adaptation of Into the Woods?? And the Agony Reprise??? They will NOT let this go, thank you very much. They also talk about the Rent movie, and they do NOT talk about Cats because they don't know what it is. Two weeks from now they'll be back with Part 2 of the Year One Anniversary, where they get into the hits and misses of more specific movie musicals rather than a general overall discussion of the genre. Maybe with some special guests?? Guess you'll just have to tune back in and see!
