Welcome to the Tweed Trends podcast. Hey, Evette, what's trending today? Hey, I mean, that's pay girl. And you are tuned in to Tweed Trends.

It's the quickest way to find out what's trending today. Happy Turkey Day. Let's get started. Today is the day that we set aside to give thanks for family, friends, fellowship, harvest, all sorts of different things in our lives and around the world.

And although the history of Thanksgiving is a little on the sketchy side, we all can pretty much agree that it's OK to have a day that you actually are intentional about giving thanks. So that's what today's all about. However, today's episode is actually about last night or yesterday. Yesterday was a day that has been dubbed drinks giving.

And where it comes from is basically that because it's a holiday that people that have moved away from home will usually pick the day before Thanksgiving to get together at a bar and have drinks with their old friends and reminisce about old times and just laugh and have a good time just reconnecting with friends. So because this year is a little bit different, this isn't your typical holiday season, and people aren't doing as much traveling, and they're definitely not hooking up at a bar or a pub and sitting around, chatting, and shooting a breeze. Because of this, we decided to host our own drinks giving via Zoom. So we're going to invite you in.

Now, this is only a portion of our little gathering, a couple of the questions that we asked in the toast, of course, because we all had some type of beverage, whether it be water or wine, whatever in between. We just had a really good time. And I want to thank the friends that came out and supported us via Zoom with drinksgiving. And I think we're going to plan on doing a lot more of these in the future, because it was just really good to see each other's face and to laugh and have a good time.

So without further ado, here goes the episode. We are going to go ahead and kick things off with our toast. So 2020 has been a tough year for a lot of people. And we'll hear about all the doom and gloom about COVID.

We hear about statistics about suicide and people being in abusive situations and environments. So what we wanted to do is for those that were either traveling once you got where you were, or those that are staying home, that we wanted to just come together and say, hey, we thank you for being in our lives. We appreciate you for who you are. We hope that wherever you travel that you're being safe.

We hope that you're able to reach out to your family, whether they're able to be there with you, or whether you find a way to Skype, go to meeting, free conference call, FaceTime, whatever form or medium that it is that you have. Just reach out to people, let them know that you care, let them know that you're thinking about them. And again, we just want to say, hey, we appreciate seeing the beautiful black people, smiling faces, hopefully ready to have someone of a good time, like we're not trying to get too wild. But just to say thanks for being a part of our lives.

And we thank you guys for showing up and saying cheers to you, cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers.

All righty then. So we've got a couple questions. Let's start at the top maybe? Yeah, let's run it.

All right. So we're going to go pretty basic here. Here's your first question. Question number one, what kind of pet person are you?

Answer choices? Now you're talking. Any other animal would be rough. Fish is my wish.

Snakes, just snakes. No thanks. If they can't work, they can't stay. You left out.

All right, here we go. Here are the results. All right. If they can't work, they can't stay.

That's what I've done. That's why you my friend, girl. That's why you my friend. Right.

Hey, nobody got time for that. Really? Are you walking up out? Yeah, I need to like some accent or something then.

OK, now somebody said that we left something out. So what do we leave out? Who felt like we left something? I'm sorry.

That was me. Joey. I'm not on the camera because I actually have rollers in my hair. Oh, it's OK.

Go ahead. We're living in a clothing world. Go down the bar. I got it.

It has a good eye. Believe it. Everybody can't be on the beach like Angie. I know.

Right? Do you want to go be saying? I said the reason why I said you left out. I had the majority of the things that you had on the list, except for snakes.

That's more in Rodney's territory, not mine. But I've always owned parakeet. Bird. OK.

I didn't think the put birds on there. Yeah, OK. OK. OK.

All right, so because we've got Thanksgiving tomorrow and people are going to be doing a whole lot of eating, probably nine times out of ten. I'm going to assume because I know I will be. This next question is. Don't.

Don't. Don't. Flashback. I don't know if you guys know it.

See it. Let's see what the questions are. What do you guys think? Are you guys voting?

OK. Oh, no. Yeah, because we're running it, we can't vote. Yeah, we can try.

I'm going to get you the log-in to zoom on another phone so you can vote. Exactly. I got you. All right.

That's what makes it fun. Ain't this drinks giving? Y'all a little calm on these drinks giving calm. You guys have it was.

Yeah. That's it. I'm not going to be like kick Angie off the zoom. You have it out.

You have it out. All right. So we're in there now. We just didn't have an answer for that one.

What is the best type of exercise? Either choice one, aerobics two, yoga three, free weights four, swimming and five, feeling the blank. My personal favorite is so swimming and another thing are we're in a row big yoga. That's the thing I guess the most right now about this whole thing is I don't get to go to yoga anymore.

You can do yoga and mom. No, it's not the same. You're in it with my girls. She used to have us doing our little binoculars and whatnot and I didn't even realize how strong it was until I then tried to do a sun salutation and realized this was not happening.

I'm like, oh, it's been a minute. So do it for us. Do it for us. No, I'm saluting it.

All right. With my drink out that. Let's see. Who are the four that have a personal favorite?

I know you piece. What's your personal favorite? What's my personal favorite? I don't know the name of it.

Oh, no. Oh, yeah. With the suits. Yeah, man.

I wish I lived close to me. I wish I could have bring it on the plane. But I had to just take a carry on. I'm running.

I don't have the money to cross my mind. I'm not going to put running on there. Jay, you saw running. I mean, even though that's in a roby exercise, I'm thinking about like J Fonda Robix.

Well, that's J Fonda Robix. No, but I'm thinking about the Robix. Like Stepa Robix. Yeah.

That's why I said other. Where's your J Fonda? Yeah. I said J Fonda.

That's a great thing. That's like, right? That's a great thing. That's a great thing.

That's a great thing. That's a great thing. That's a good thing. That's a good thing.

I was going to say running also. Okay. It's a fabulous thing. It's just two other people.

So it's a great thing. But just nothing like that. There's two other people. So Stephen and Jay were both thinking.

Who else? Well, I said, come on now, when you know my thing. Bye, Brad. Bye.

Thank you. Who the latter? Maserfull. Thank you.

That's a ropey. Let's get early. You are in a lot of calories like that. It wasn't a lot of guns.

All right man. All right man. All right man. That's a good answer.

We caught that. That was to the list. Yes, we got a thousand points. That's a good top.

Right. I like their answer. We ended up holding it up. I'm with them.

We're on the bed. Zoom over. All right. I actually shared that one.

I did share it. Okay. You didn't even pick yoga. I didn't.

We hadn't logged in yet. We hadn't logged in yet. We're logged in now. I was like, what about yoga?

I'm calling me out. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I don't know what they're doing. That's okay. I thought she was talking about Jay. When she said I'm serious.

Derek got jokes. Hey, Derek, what did you pick on that question? Let me go. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm okay. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

What did you pick on that question? Let me ask you. What did you pick? Jake.

I'm sorry. Jake. Let me ask you that. Yes.

Okay. Okay. That's it. I was.

I just dropped it. Yeah. All right. I'm lifting my leg.

I gotta lift it up. I don't trust it. Yeah. I like it when you whisper.

Exactly. Oh, no. I'm sorry. Oh my God.

Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God.

No, I didn't have that on the list either. I'm sorry, Daria. Yes. Next time you have to take a minute.

I'm sorry. That might be negative with the H.A. Thank you. Thank you.

Listen, Mrs. Langham, y'all don't need in-person parties. If y'all could have liked this on Zoom. All right.

Alright, guys. Let's wrap this up. Last question. Here we go.

Money, money, money, money. I think you left out some choices on this one. Which would you pick? Happiness or wealth?

Answer choice one. Having all the money would make me happy. Answer choice two. Who would want money when happiness is all you need?

Answer choice three. There's something better than both of those. Alright, so it looks like there was something better than the money or the happiness. Back to that thinking.

Go back to the... Oh, did I not share it? Is it not me? There it is.

That was said, having all the money will make you happy. Who wants money when happiness is all you need? That's the exact one and two is the same question. It's the same answer.

The first one is saying if you have the money. I was said, would. I read, wouldn't make you happy. That's my fault.

We got five that are saying something's better. What's better? A piece of mine. Alright, here it's a food.

I was joking. I said that. That's better than a big guy. Love.

Love. Love is what I was thinking. That's a question. That's a question.

Because you know, what's the money? You can buy yourself a love. What kind of love is that going to be? I'll be there for the holidays, days.

They would do it like they love you. I don't mind it. They would do it like they love you. I know who they are.

You can buy yourself a love. Yeah, be correct. Okay, so love. A piece of mine.

I had to try it back then. I needed help. I had to try it back then. I needed help.

Wealth and happiness. Oh, I like that. I like that. That helps.

That helps. That's something serious. I figured I know. You have money.

You get to take care of your health. Sometimes you can. Sometimes you can. The question the formal get together of drinksgiving has concluded.

Again, we want to bring you together as possibly strangers, but to leave here as friends, building bridges. And so again, just wanted to say thank you. We want to wish each of you a happy Thanksgiving. And thanks for participating in this Thanksgiving Eve.

Drink's giving for us. You know, what they covered is done is causes kind of think out of box and we shared this with some other people, some of you the other day, but causes to think out of box and seduce new things. So being able to see you guys all just for like I said, as a gift and we really wanted to say thank you for that. That was today's episode of Tweet Trends.

I hope you enjoyed the little excerpts from our little party that we had and that if nothing else, you took from this, the fact that in these COVID times we have to think outside the box and come up with ways that we can still get together, socialize and enjoy each other's company. So rather than spreading COVID, what I want you to do, I'm challenging you to do this, spread gratitude, get in contact with as many people as you can today in between bites of your awesome Thanksgiving feast. And let somebody know that you appreciate them, thank them for something that they've done or just for being a friend. And I think that if all of us just did a little bit, we could end up making such a big difference about a lot.

Alright, see you next week. Once again, happy Thanksgiving.
