Hardy Out for Season Opener | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri’s star running back Ahmad Hardy, a rushing leader and All-American, won’t play in the season opener after recovering from a gunshot wound to his upper leg. Though medically cleared in July, he’s still sidelined and won’t return until at least mid-September — possibly later — as coach Drinkwitz insists on full-speed practice before game action. With Hardy out, Jamal Roberts will carry the load, but fans are watching closely for when the Tigers’ top rusher can return and help turn the tide.
