Hardy Out, Missouri Still Dangerous | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri’s got a big edge heading into their showdown with Kansas — but it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Star running back Ahmad Hardy, who exploded for 1600 yards and 16 TDs last season and is already at 3K career yards, is sidelined recovering from an offseason gunshot wound. That opens the door for Jamal Roberts, who showed flashes against Kansas last year — 100+ yards and a score — but didn’t dazzle last week. Missouri’s defense and offensive line remain elite, and Kansas knows backups can step up. So while Hardy’s absence might feel like a gift, Missouri’s still a monster on the field. Kansas can’t afford to relax — this Border Showdown is going to be brutal, whether they’re missing their star or not.
