Hardy’s Return & SEC Dreams | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz marked his seventh season with the Tigers at SEC Media Days, honoring longtime administrator Marcy Girton’s retirement while spotlighting Ahmad Hardy’s medical clearance after a shooting — with a potential 5-8 week return timeline. Drinkwitz emphasized veteran leadership from Nick Rodriguez and Jamal Roberts, plus key transfer Cayden Green, as the team embraces a “something to prove” mentality in the SEC. He praised the offensive line’s depth, quarterback Matt Zollers’ growth, and the defense’s focus on turnovers, while advocating for expanded College Football Playoff spots. With rivalry games looming, Drinkwitz remains optimistic about the team’s potential and his legacy as one of the SEC’s most seasoned coaches.
