Harlem Rapper Max B Released from Prison After 16 Years

"Harlem legend Max B is finally free. After serving more than 16 years behind bars, the rapper known as Wavy Crockett has officially walked out of prison — and the streets are celebrating." "Max B was originally hit with a 75-year sentence back in 2009 for his alleged role in a deadly New Jersey robbery. But in 2016, that conviction was overturned and reduced after a plea deal for aggravated manslaughter — setting the stage for today’s long-awaited release." "Earlier this year, Max B called into The Joe Budden Podcast and spoke it into existence — saying, ‘We got a date! November 9th, 2025, baby!’ And today, that vision became reality." "French Montana, his day-one collaborator, confirmed the news online — writing, ‘Can’t make this up! My brother really came home on my birthday! Hamdulillah! Walked it down! No more free you!’" "Max B’s wavy influence shaped an entire era of hip-hop — from A$AP Mob to Wiz Khalifa, Kanye West, Drake, and The Weeknd — all inspired by his signature sound and unshakable confidence."
