Harmless as Doves

New Song Harmless as Doves By Zeres Vitto Verse 1 Before the voice was heard aloud, Before the crowds, before the cross, The heavens opened, light came down, The Spirit sealed the Sinless One. Not crowned by men, not armed with force, But marked by heaven’s quiet sign— The Father’s pleasure resting there, The Lamb anointed for His time. Pre-Chorus No fire from swords, no earthly throne, The power came from God alone. Chorus Harmless as doves, yet strong in truth, Sealed from above, made new in You. We follow the Lamb where’er He goes, No deceit found, our hearts made whole. Not by might, not by fear or force, But by Your Spirit we endure— Harmless as doves, yet bold as light, Marked as Yours in the final fight. Verse 2 So now a people stand once more, Before the world, before the test, The hour has come, the warning sounds, Yet peace still dwells within their breath. No dragon’s voice upon their tongue, No borrowed fire, no poisoned word, They keep Your law, they trust Your faith, They speak as those who’ve seen the Lord. Pre-Chorus Truth proclaimed with mercy’s tone, A Lamb-like people, not alone. Verse 3 As Noah’s dove once found no rest, Till judgment’s waters passed away, So hearts made clean by holy hands Now stand upon Mount Zion’s height. Firstfruits redeemed, a new creation, Your name upon each waiting brow, The same Spirit who sealed the Son Now seals His witnesses somehow. Bridge Lamb who was slain, now standing near, Write Your meekness in us here. When pressure comes and lines are drawn, Keep us gentle, keep us strong. Chorus Harmless as doves, yet strong in truth, Sealed from above, made new in You. We follow the Lamb where’er He goes, No deceit found, our hearts made whole. Through fire and flood, through night and test, Your Spirit marks us as Your rest— Harmless as doves till faith is sight, Sealed for the Kingdom, robed in white.
