Harnessing Inner Child Work for Mental Fitness w/ Aidan Lee

from Men’s Therapy Podcast · host Marc Azoulay

In this episode of the Men’s Therapy Podcast, host Marc Azoulay speaks with Aidan Lee. He is the founder of FitRoots and a mindset performance coach specializing in elite coaching for men, especially fathers. He has a background rooted deeply in martial arts. His journey is shaped by family, discipline, and spiritual practice. Aidan shares how he channels his life experiences. He utilizes those to help men achieve mental fitness and emotional resilience. Lee's story begins in childhood, learning kickboxing from his father at the age of four. “He was my very first martial arts instructor,” he explains. Aidan recalls how those early lessons taught him to “channel aggression positively.” But it wasn’t until college, where he studied philosophy, that he began to explore the deeper layers of his identity and purpose. “What I realized is that modern martial arts often leaves out the mental and philosophical parts. Those are core to real transformation,” he says. Lee’s work now focuses on guiding men—especially dads—from trauma to triumph. Through FitRoots, he blends physical training with mental coaching. He helps men reclaim strength, consistency, and a powerful sense of self through inner child work and emotional fitness.
