Why is curiosity so important? This is what I explore with my guest Dr. Alison Horstmeyer as we explore the importance of curiosity in our volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguousworld. Dr. Alison Horstmeyer is a former Fortune 500 business development executive who now works with executives to operationalize and harness curiosity and to enable agile leadership, innovation, agile experimentation and healthy team dynamics. She is considered one of the pioneering humanistic researchers in workplace curiosity working with clients such as Hulu, Verizon Media, Dolby, Vanguard. Her work is published in various domestic and international leadership and L&D publications including peer-reviewed journals such as The Journal of Organizational Change Management, Development and Learning in Organizations: An International Journal, and Strategic HR Review as well as mainstream business publications such as Forbes and CEOWorld Magazine. Alison also serves as the Director of Client Development and adjunct faculty for University of Southern California Marshall School of Business Executive Education and is the inaugural Research Fellow appointed to the USC Annenberg Center for Third Space Thinking contributing to evidence-based soft skills development.
