Harping in Place 1-04, Prayer for Deborah Grace
from Harping in Place; tranquil folk harp by Joan · host Joan Patrie
Prayer for Deborah Grace This was the 2nd piece I played for my friend June's memorial service at Recovery Café (and song 4 from Ravenn Harp volume A: Restart). {Pardon the applause at the end; this is the raw file.} Original music by Joan Patrie ©2019 (all rights reserved) Recorded & performed Live in Seattle, 2019 May 16 [My comments on this piece]: The original version of this was an improvisation that came out of nowhere at a gig about 15 years ago, which my friend Barb (who was there at EmmaJoes) said was beautiful, and I agreed. Some days later, I learned that whilst I played, and unbeknownst to us, our friend Debbie Coleman had died in hospital. And so, I named it 'Prayer for Deborah Grace' to honour my friend. Ever since, it has been one of my most meaningful pieces Stay safe, keep calm, be kind… and wash your hands. namasté an original composition, ©2019 by Joan Patrie [please enjoy for your personal use] calm, hopeful, tranquil, folk, harp, composition, improvisation, ASMR, yoga, meditation, breathing, peaceful, sleep, sheltering, quarantine
