Hello everyone welcome back to another episode of Broken Record my name is Ellie I'm the host for this show and I'm so excited to do our first official episode back in season two So this past week I went to the Harry Styles concert in Madison's Square Garden and it was absolutely outstanding My mom gave me tickets to this as a birthday present And I'm so so lucky that I was able to go and see him perform Everything live because he's an incredible performer his concerts are amazing and it was also in New York Which is so cool. I love New York and I love Madison Square Garden And so it was really cool to be able to go do a concert there. So if you didn't know Harry Styles concerts are it's such a fashion show There's everyone is dressed in an irons There's no one without a sparkle or feather boa or a cowboy hat or some sort of extravagant accessory as a part of their outfit It is it was so so so fun to go to the concert and see everyone's outfits It was insane and I was so impressed by like everyone's outfit It was crazy and as we were getting to our seats we got feather boas which was so cool So Harry Styles had actually purchased a like what 20,000 boas however Any seats are in my sister's garden key bought that money boas and we all got one which was so cool I can't imagine what that cost like spending so much money on feather boas That's insane, but it was super cool I got a red one and I went with my mom and she got a black one it was so fun I we brought them home. We saved our own there in my memory box.
I'm so cool. It was so cool So I went to the last night of his residency He did a 15-night residency in New York and he's doing he's currently doing a five-night residency in Austin, Texas and from there he'll go to Chicago for five nights and then Los Angeles for 15 nights And so I went to the last show of his New York residency and it was absolutely insane There were also a lot of celebrities in the concert to like just going to see Harry Jimmy Fallon drew Barrymore Madonna like there were so many people there that were seeing Harry and it was so cool But yeah, it was insane and so during this concert Harry performed songs from all three albums which is insane He also performed one direction songs he sings what makes you beautiful which I love I love that he sings that song and he changes it up a little bit. It's different than the recording and it's so fun So I'm gonna play clip of that I love that song it makes me so happy There's a section of Harry's concert where there's like three or four songs that are played back to back with no talking in between And they're like really great Like hype make you want to dance songs and what makes you beautiful is in the little group of songs and I swear to you The building was shaking during those songs like the floor was vibrating. It was crazy people were just going hard It was so fun to watch it was crazy another one of my favorite songs that he played from fine line is called ador you I love the song love the music video love everything about it.
So here's a little bit of ador you That song is so fun. I love it so much There is this girl next to me who was who came by herself? She lived in Staten Island and it was so fun because we were just singing and dancing and enjoying ourselves It was so cool because I feel like going to a concert You're not expecting to like talk to the people who are sitting next to you But everyone was so friendly and they were so willing to just make conversation take pictures if you wanted them to like everyone was so nice And the atmosphere was so crazily good like everyone like you could just tell everyone wanted to be there and it was so cool And so refreshing he also said as it was which is currently the longest running us number one hit by a UK act Which is crazy. It's been at the top for 15 weeks, which is insane I couldn't possibly imagine having come out with this on in 15 weeks later.
It's still number one I can't even imagine it. That's insane. But yeah, here's as it was the number one song on the Billboard chart charts That song is so good. I love it so much.
It was so cool to your life. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. It was so good Okay, in hairstyles Harry Harry Harry So as I mentioned before this was the last show that he was doing in New York for this tour And so obviously it had to be special so right before he went off stage before the encore Harry sang ever since New York Which if you know anything about Harry, you know that that's a big deal because one Harry Styles rarely puts us on back on a Setlist after it's been removed and ever since New York is from his first album He hasn't sang it since his 2017 2018 tour Harry Styles live on tour and he brought it back and sang it for the last night at New York City And it was insane.
I started bawling. It was so good That's one of my favorite songs from the Harry Styles album. It's so good and I cannot believe I heard it live It was actually so magical I totally got it in my head that I was never ever gonna hear it live Like I didn't it wasn't even on my radar to like even hope for it And then he says this is an old song sing along for you know the words and I for reeks out I studied crying It was so magical It was so amazing and I made my mom record the song for me So I could just cry and watch him sing it because it was so good And it was so special and I'm so so so so glad I got to hear it live because it is such a beautiful song and oh my gosh It was so good. I love it so much.
But yeah, here's ever since New York performed in New York I mean come on that song is so good and so magical and so special and I love that clip because when everyone sings New York Including Harry they all scream it and it's so special and I love it so much. It's insane. Yeah, it was so good during the encore Harry saying sign of the times and then after that Gil King came on who is a broadcast journalist for CBS and she announced that Harry was getting a banner in Madison's word garden So there's now a banner any other Madison's word garden that commemorates that Harry Styles performed 15 sold out shows consecutively that's so cool and so special and so crazy and Harry that little moment when she came on stage and surprised him was So cute. He started crying it was adorable and the sign we got to see the sign like the banner being raised and it was so cool It was so special it's insane.
So if you're ever in Madison's word garden look for the Harry Styles banner because it's there And that's so cool. That's so cool. I think that's Harry's first banner. I might be wrong But I feel like it is and that's so cool.
That's so cool. This concert was so amazing If you ever ever ever get a chance to see Harry, please go see him even if you don't like him You can appreciate the fact that he's a good performer. He entertains you. He entertains the audience.
He's energetic. It's crazy My mom going into it. She wasn't a huge Harry Styles fan She liked him, but she just didn't know his music whatever she left and she was like if he's coming back Like let's go see him. She was ready to go to another concert, which I thought was really funny Harry was great if you ever get the chance to see him, please do and yeah, so thanks real estate Welcome back to Broken Record happy season two if you want to find me on Instagram You can search up camera age broken record and you'll find the podcast Instagram or you can search up camera age broken record on any podcast streaming platform And you'll be able to find me and all previous episodes and you can listen to them all which is super cool And if you want to do something fun You can search up camera age broken records and listen to my Harry Styles episode from last year because I went to his concert in November So yeah, thanks so much for listening.
