The thing that resonated from him are not those beliefs, it is the worlds he created that resonate.  And now we have plush Cthulhu toys and Lovecraft RPGs.  The world is a better place because of plush Cthulhu toys and Lovecraft RPGs.  So the world is a better place because of HP Lovecraft.
