Luke 14:26 There is a phenomenon in our society today that makes it very difficult for many people to understand what Jesus is calling us to do today. Many believe that when it comes to character or compromise, you must always cast aside character and compromise your values. One of Satan’s sneakiest ploys is to bring us to a point where we compromise our values. If anything, or anyone, − even your own family or your own personal interests and desires – might cause you, or provide justification for you, to rebel against what God has taught in His Word, then refuse to be drawn away. Don’t let anything prevent you from being a disciple of the One who is greater than all these things.
