In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Welcome to the supernatural hour, everyone. I'm Raven, and tonight we are going to combine two things that really shouldn't go together, but we're going to make it work.

And that's basketball and ghosts. And it's March. It's March Madness, and the madness is real. I know people will super get into their brackets and their lists, and the energy gets crazy, and you've got millions of people focused on the exact same games, the exact same time, the other brackets, the other bets.

And if belief is energy, what does that do to the arena? So we have some stories tonight, some historic arenas with reputations. We have teams who have felt presences during championship runs. We've got legends that run on by heartache and tragedy.

And we also have some modern myths that still hang around today. So grab your brackets, let's run into the gym after the game is over. Castle, castle, wake up. Don't sleep in the sports.

Castle finds the sports is boring. Well, you're so excited about the last podcast we had to bring it on. I just like equal it out kind of like when I trick it out at the same time, they cancel each other. Yes.

So castle and the sports don't go together, but he'll serve. Anyway, besides castle, we have with us. This is Drake, and Drake does not do basketball at all. And this is Drake, and Chad does do basketball.

So castle and Drake don't do the sports teams. I do, just not basketball. I do hockey. I was just going to say you're a hockey guy.

Castle doesn't do any sports. I can watch a basketball game if I need to. I'm going to say my football. Yes, I know a video.

And I know the castle loves curling. Oh, that is a ribbing sport. I love curling so much. I may be lying.

It doesn't love the curling. I don't know. Who came up with curling? Who decided it was a cool enough sport to be in the Olympics?

Okay, let me get an episode on that. I'm going to throw this out there. You're going to find this interesting. If I'm right, then I could be wrong.

So correct me if I'm wrong. But I think curling is a Scottish sport. I'm going to see what opening ice is about that. Because Scotland comes up with haggis, bagpipes, golf, and I believe curling.

So I think they just love drunk people with nothing better to do. My wife said it must have been created by a man, especially ones that whose women is a certain thing because she said, oh, she's ever seen it. She's just women pushing a broom. Right.

Let's slide a rock across the floor and then sweep vigorously in front of it. Okay, curling was bitter in Scotland in 1511. See? Don't you?

The first curling stone is found in a drain pond in Ben Blaine, Scotland. You know, being 37.5% Scottish, which I am because I've checked my jeans, they must have been really bored in Scotland. I don't have to say it's because there's a lot of really interesting things coming to Scotland. It can only be explained by sheer boredom.

Right. Well, here's an interesting fact about curling. All curling stones have to come from the same area. And I think it's also in Scotland.

They manufacture them out of the same granite. Ew. Back to paranormal stuff. Maybe we'll have to do a paranormal curling episode.

Well, that'll be riveting. We'll lose all seven of our listeners. I've got the patreons. Alrighty.

So we have some investigations to talk to you all about. We are going to talk to you about the mouth isle. And we actually did a residential in Magna last night. So watch for those.

We had some pretty exciting stuff going on there. Alright, so this episode is sponsored by Castle Photo Art. So if you haven't got your senior photos scheduled yet, get with me. I've got some openings on the schedule, engagement photos.

Especially if you tell me that you heard about Supernatural Hour, I will give you a little bit of a discount. So again, castlephotoart.com. You need the pictures. I'll take the pictures and I take pictures of just about everything except for I don't do good war because I enjoy my marriage.

So castlephotoart.com. Awesome. So again, welcome to the Supernatural Hour. We love that you're here with us and we're excited to spend the next hour or so with you.

And we just want to shout out all of our patreons. We do this every podcast because I feel like if I don't, you're just not getting appreciated enough. And I want you guys to feel fully appreciated because not only do you add to what we're able to do, but your friends and we appreciate what you do. We have a new investigation and that is going to be at the Shalom.

Hey, not only do we have a new investigation, we have a new patron too. Oh, well before we get into the Shalom, while we're still on patreon's do tell about our new patreon. We've got a new digital subscriber patron. We're really excited about it.

We don't have a name for him yet, but we're always excited about our patrons. Even with our digital patron's he's entitled to our Shindig or Summer Shindig, which is awesome. One of our fun events of the year. And that's only for patrons and their guests and we do that every summer in August.

And it's a great event. And so all of the patrons are able to do that. The higher subscription on the patron that you do, the more additional friends you can bring on your own. But even the digital patrons get to bring one of their friends for a potluck dinner where we provide the entree, usually Chick-fil-A nuggets, which are delicious.

And then patrons bring a potluck and we have a great time and then we have a great investigation. Yes, we do. I can't remember who it was that brought the paradox that brought the corn to our Christmas party. Ooh, that was a crack cocaine and corn all mixed together into one delicious boulevage of awesomeness.

Yes, yes, so we will have her bring that to our Shindig. And Castle may choose to do some barbecue pork if we want to switch it up from the Chick-fil-A nuggets. And yes, because Castle's pork is also a boulevage of wonderful crack, yumminess, because I've had it before. Alrighty, now we'll talk about the Shalon.

We are going to the Shalon. We have never been there before. This will be new to everybody. It's a little bit of a larger event venue, so we have a few more tickets that we're able to sell compared to most of our venues.

We had to keep it in a small. That being said, we have sold out what our... I can't remember the last time we didn't sell out. So maybe the Hue-ish, because we can't...

Probably technically the Hue-ish. With the Dead Talk portion where we can do like 80 tickets, we haven't necessarily sold out the Dead Talk only tickets, but the investigation tickets we sold out going way back. Yeah, I can't remember when. So if that's something you're thinking about, don't sit on it too long.

It's coming up. It is March 21st. So we have to be at that one. Yes, Castle will be there, because it's in his hood.

And new patrons are going to come back to you because my brain works like unicorns, or just going to be out and tell them around. Remember we had this little welcome goodie box, and I ran out of goodie boxes because we had so many new patrons, and I said we'll come up with a new goodie box. Well, the first five new patrons we get, we will get you a Supernatural Tumbler. That is kind of an extra special thank you.

And those are the postal and above patrons, not just the digital. Yes. Correct. And that goes along with our new venue contest.

After Shalan, we are working with the owner of a new venue, another one that we have never been to. We're just waiting to, we're just working with them right now to get a date. But we have a contest. I put out two hints.

We still do not have a winner for that. So I'll throw out another hint here in a day or two. And if we get down to where we have the event, or when we announce the event, when we have a date settled, if we still don't have a correct answer, I'll just put everybody's name that submitted answers in a big hat. Maybe we'll put it in Castle's hat, and we'll draw any amount.

Sounds good to me. I'm on board. So, anywho, let's jump into Paranormal Basketball. So what we're going to do is we're just going to talk about all these fun stories.

I had never heard of any of these before, so I think it's kind of fun. So the first one we're going to talk about is the ghost of the old Boston Gardens. So this is Boston Gardens, and it's the Boston Celtics. And the old Boston Gardens was actually demolished in 1998.

But before then, players and staff reported just some really strange activity inside the old one. There were security guards that claimed they heard basketballs bouncing when there was no one inside the building. Doors would slam shut in corridors that were sealed or locked for the evening that no one should have been in. And they also said that there's cold spots that they could find near the old parquet floors.

Now, some believe it was the spirit of one of the former Celtics owner, whose name was Red Hourbach. And he was... Pardon? Correct.

That's Red Hourbach. Okay. And he was just famously superstitious and just deeply connected to the arena. He loved what he did.

He loved the job that he did. And even asked... Oh, good story. Good story about Red Hourbach.

So when the Celtics were playing and when they got ahead and when he felt that they were going to win the game, it's sitting on the bench and light up his cigar because he felt the game was over. That was one of his traditions. Okay. Did not know that.

Yeah, he was a very hard career than a head coach for a lot of years, a lot of championships. It was back in the day when he could smoke inside buildings. I think he would have done it anyway because he was a character. So after the maulage of the old Boston Gardens, and they moved to Teens Garden, the staff chucked at the ghosts moved within, whether they did or not.

We don't know, but that's the story. Now, they said that they had any ghost sightings in Boston Gardens, but Boston itself is a very haunted city. It's very old. It's got a lot of history.

And just ghostly dribbling stories and bed spots and slamming doors. That's parallel. Para-normal enough for me. So, okay.

So if we think about... Oh, go ahead. I was just going to say, what about the residual energy in these kinds of venues? Some of these places were huge crowds, huge championships, games, lots of emotion.

Tell us what you think about that. What's everybody's take on energy? Honestly, I don't know if I even called residual energy. I mean, you've gotten a bigger arena like that.

You have tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of fans that have visited this time. Over the years. There's going to be some people who just really deeply connect with that location. And over the years, most fans are going to die.

Not all them, obviously, but the older ones are going to eventually pass on. And I think all of us, if that's the essence of spirits, like congregate in places that they loved. And so, to me, it's not really out of sorts, that a lot of these spirits are really identified, who kind of live to drink, breathe the basketball. We want to spend their time at this location.

I think really any major public building is going to attract spirits that way, however, some place where there's been a lot of joy, a lot of excitement. A lot of sorrow, even, is going to just really attract and bring in a lot of spirits. And if you tear that venue down and build a new venue, I don't think it's out of sorts for some of those spirits to even move to maybe the new venue. Especially if they decide to attach to certain objects, or banners, etc.

So, I could see that venue like this having a lot of spiritual energy. And one of the things that I used to think about is, like with the leaders, we didn't used to do the hub. We know of all the different theaters that have had energy, and you look at those, and you think, all of the energy that's there in theaters and their classics. And theators are a lot smaller than these sports arenas.

You may have an arena that a large arena could be two, maybe 3,000 people. Those would be quite large arenas where some of these sports arenas are 15 to 20,000 people. And some of the football arenas and things like that are even much, much larger than they act up into hundreds of thousands and some of them. But you think of that, and how many games, and how many plays, and how many things, and just the total numbers that could be brought into those situations.

I find interesting. Alright, now we're going to talk about the Cameron Indoor Stadium, which is Duke. It's the Duke Blue Dose. So at the same time as the built in 1940, Cameron Indoor is one of the most electric venues in college basketball, also possibly one of the most haunted.

Players have described feeling being watched, trained like night practices, hearing footsteps, empty bleachers, and locker room lights flickering without explanation. Some stories claim for players that have passed around or passed on are hanging around still to protect the home court advantage. During March Madness, teams have said they felt the building feels alive, and this is a term that we hear a lot when it comes through the atmosphere of a residential or public venue. So with the intensity of Cameron crazies, creating a psychoish behind me, or is it possible something else is still there?

I think the clause into the same arena, and they'll put it in a tent, as the Posten Gardens, again, in 1940, that's a long time. Pardon me, the flickering lights, I'm not sure if I 100% bite into that, the reality is that it's built in 40s, it's probably a clock-rock wiring, so it's probably some wiring issues, so that could be explained away. But again, I think if you have any venue that's had a lot of emotion and it just tens the millions of visitors over the years, I'd just think you're getting a lot of activity in a place like that. I don't know the old theaters that don't have a lot of activity, and as Chad mentioned, those are a lot smaller venues, so I think it's reasonable to say that spirits are going to be there, haunting places that were important to them in life, in death.

Yeah, and Duke is one of the blue bleds in college basketball. They're always a perennial power. When many national championships, they're always there. They're huge fan-based.

Just when they say the camera craziness, it's hard to win a Duke, and they're an awesome basketball program, and the fans are energized, and I think again, just the amount of energy that comes in, I think they can really bring in the current home energy. So let's talk about Loyola, Marymount, and the Spirit of Eight Gathers. Now, first up, I'm going to offend a bunch of people, because I have no idea where Loyola, Marymount, is. I believe it's California.

I'm not positive. I'm pretty sure they're in with Gonzaga in the Western Coast Coast. All men that I've heard couldn't point to them ever anymore, so anyway, let's talk about it, but it's a little bit emotional. So in 1990, there were star players, and he was, hey, Gathers, and he actually collapsed in that park condition during the game, and actually happened during that year's NCAA tournament.

So during the game, the teammates that actually felt Gathers with them, they said they felt like he was out there playing with them, even though he passed on. Several players on the team described sensing a presence on the court. In fact, one teammate claimed a warm rush passed by him during the pit along the game, and this isn't like what you would consider like a sheet ghost type story, some other cross the court with a sheet on. This is very human-haunting.

The people who scrapped after tragedy. They'll talk about like a moment of warmth in the hallway. They'll send someone to standing behind them, and they said there wasn't really the feeling that the team was missing one person, but still moving with a unit, even though it was fired passed on. So that year, Loyola, they made a historic tournament run, and they played with an intensity that people described as otherworldly.

LMU's tournament run became one of the most emotional and NCAA history. It had a fast tempo with like refilled intensity, and the now-lizard tribute, where Bo Kibble shot his first free throw, all attended, his tournament gave for Hank, and he made all of them. So after that, this tournament where they do free throw, he made all these baskets. So this one's more of a specific spirit.

So what do you guys think about this? Is it possible for like a spirit to hang around and kind of help with the team using my air quotations after they passed, or is this just like a team getting a heart? Because their teammate died, so they kind of get that for win-win for the giver? Yeah, kind of win-win for the giver, but win-win for Hank.

So what are your thoughts on this, guys? I think so. I think it could be both. I could see the team wanting to win the game before their fallen friend, and I could also see the spirit of the deceased player, Hank gathers, thinking I want to be here to help my team.

They need me. They need me here. I need to help. So I think it could be both.

Loyola is a Los Angeles. It is on the west coast. It's up on the Luftsov rookie, the Pacific Ocean, and the Los Angeles area. So Chad, the Oracle of all sports information, do you have more info on the left-handed free throws?

I hadn't. I can find some help. I just wondered if you knew any other lots of coffee. No, I didn't know that one.

Alright, so that's Hank at Loyola. So now we're going to talk about the curse of the Sacramento Kings. And the teams of the Sacramento Kings, and it's the former Arco Arena. After the controversial 2002 Western Conference final loss, fans swore that the team was cursed.

They were just expected to win, everything else said they didn't. Staff reported that equipment was moving nightly, strange banging sounds, lights turning on after the shutdown. Some fans believe that the arena itself was angry. Others joked it was just a ghost of lost championships.

Up to that point they had one championship. They had been close, had had some things. I thought they'd know what it is when sports teams get close and don't win. So the team moved to the Golden One Center and many wondered if they were trying to outrun the curse.

And since then, they got Steph Curry and they won a number of championships. So they've broken their curse of the Sacramento Kings. They're quite one of the top teams of the last time. 10-15 years in the NBA.

So you think that a collective heartbreak can create a curse for a team and create group trauma? Yes and no. I do think it. Sometimes I think our brains are more powerful than we give them credit for.

And what I mean by that is we can kind of manifest things, i.e. if we think I'm going to be successful and we manifest it, we're going to be successful. I do think if we all know a large group of people manifest that the team is going to suck, the team is going to suck. And I think it's kind of like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

And then if everybody's going to go, yeah, they're stuck. They're cursed and everybody sees everything as a curse. Kind of an example. A castle example when I was a kid, I was a firm believer in the battle of Friday the 13th.

And I was eating a garden tomato and I was on my bicycle and I made it to the store before. But suddenly I dropped my garden tomato and my bicycle ran over it and I was sad because I had my garden tomato was delicious. I thought, now I'll take it as Friday the 13th. Well, it was a Friday the 13th or was I just kind of thought to exist eating a tomato and had it on a bicycle.

I happen to be ready to think. Exactly. And so I don't know if this is really a true curse or if it's just enough people believe it, that every misfortune they see just reinforces their belief. And the team gets low morale because of the talk of the curse and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, so to speak.

I would have to agree with that. You can get something in your head here in all the time in sports, whether they're making a free throw, whether they're kicking a point after in football. The other team got in their head. And so do you think that the talk of a curse can get into the heads of not only the players but the fans as well.

We're going to talk about the Hinkle Field House now, which is in Indiana. So this is the ground of history is that Hinkle is legitimately like legendary old school. It was open in 1928, an historic landmark status now, an iconic Indiana tournament history. Kind of feels like a shine, which makes it perfect paranormal terrain.

But obviously Atlanta teammate Bobby Plump has been quoted saying there's ghosts running around in here. People have said they've heard echo and footsteps and up-receding. There's been said goosebumps and tunnels and the sense of being watched from the rafters. Yeah, and Chad isn't the Indian Hoosiers, isn't that a big, aren't they?

A kind of Duke like, aren't they big? Big, but then this is Butler University, not the Indiana Ganshers. Hinkle Field House is a big but Butler is also a very good basketball thing. I don't know, it's been 15, 20 years back.

They had to run to the NCAA Championship. They're always one of those little smaller schools that always does really well. But yeah, there have been a lot of paranormal claims with this Field House. Like you say, unexpected footsteps, cold spots on the concourse, and then just residual energy from all of the historic games that have gone on there.

Okay, so there's actually, we're going to go over to stay in the Indiana area. There's a high school gym that's quite haunted as well, and Indiana is a basketball country. And they have several small town gyms that have ghost stories that have just been hanging around forever. And there's one that's actually more widely circulated than others.

There's a janitor that reportedly hears dribbling after midnight, which sounds like it's been a common theme through several of the ones we've already talked about. But they have an interesting thing where with security footage they actually see what looks like a shadow moving across the key, the area where you shoot the basketball. And it's not just a shadow, an eel shadow, it actually has a human form and they can't explain why you would be there. And they also say that the scoreboard will turn on by itself, and it always reads 13-13.

So I don't know if that's significant to that particular high school, if that's just what the ghost likes. And the players respond. Okay, okay. Players report cold spots under the basket.

Well, something like this, and I hate to sound like I've broken record back in. Even though it's a high school, you've got tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of fans over the years. You're just going to have a lot of paranormal energy that just forms with all those feelings. People who identify with the school are one of the best ways to make you choose to congregate there.

I do believe that this is possible, but I also think it's just the same kind of energy they're going to have in all the other places. So there's not so much training to come in, because I've already said that in three times. But I think it still qualifies under those circumstances. Right, and I think it would be interesting to go and investigate these because they're more than is being reported on the pro paranormal side, and people just aren't there.

And they're there, they're either practicing or they're enjoying the game. And how much of it can be debunked because they're old arenas and gymnasiums, they're expensive to build. And so they're not going to rebuild it. It's not something that you're just going to rebuild every couple of years and so there's going to be old stuff there.

But I like to lean towards the paranormal if possible. So going back to the Arco Arena where the Sacramento Kings play, or played before they moved into the Golden One Arena or whatever it's called where they play now. The Kings played there and the building had lots of behind the scenes tunnels and multi-use spaces. It wasn't just basketball arena.

They would bring in the circus and bring ice capades and all of the other things that were going on. But there was a lot of circus related to snorkel use and many arenas do that also. It's not only the basketball or whatever, they're multi-polis and we'll do time-pulled-up sports, sometimes multiple other kinds of events that went on. The truck pulls, all of those other kinds of things that they do.

But there's an internet famous modern manth about a creepy clown tunnel cave underneath the arena. And it was told and re-shared by fans and urban explorers alike and it included a lot of viral clips. Present, it isn't a arena folklore, but it's not a confirmed haunt. Is it a legend that lives online or is it something that had a basis in paranormal activity?

We don't really know. But it's a perfect example of how sports spaces generate modern ghost stories. And if you know that the circus is there and there's clowns there, nobody likes clowns. I was like clowns.

I was like clowns. I was like clowns. Clowns like clowns. Alright, let's talk about the spirit of a dreuson petrific.

He played for the New Jersey Nets. So after his tragic death in 1993, where he passed away to car accident, teammates talked about some strange experiences they had. There was talk about someone brushing past the tunnels, teammates talked about seeing movement in their peripheral vision, great practices. A long play-brain claimed that he heard petrifics laugh echo briefly in an empty arena, which to me is kind of interesting because I was not an investigation at a...

It was called the Caffe Neo Coffee House. I don't know if any of you guys remember that place. It was on 33rd South, but there was talk that there's a little girl who punted that menu. And at the end of the night, all of us were gathered together.

We wrapped up the investigation. We were just sitting around the tables having a socializing. And as we're talking, and this is like five or six of us, we're the only people in the building. But from a cross-room, all five of us heard of the girls laugh across the room.

And so for this player to hear petrifics laugh, to me is really not that out of the realm of reality. And then several teammates reported that they felt that they had felt her during a game since that season as if he hadn't left the team. What are your thoughts on this? Do you guys think it's possible?

Do you guys think he's there? What do you guys think? Some of these have been really generic, I would hear footsteps we hear basketball bouncing. And that could be purple.

It could be suddenly in the building. But when you hear someone's specific laughter, that tends to add a little more credibility than it is actually him there. Whether he's visiting, whether he's just hanging out. That to me makes it seem a little more real.

A lot of these teams get really, really close emotionally. They're working hard for a goal. Something happens. A player is there.

My belief is we have some free agency after we die also. And this may be a situation where he wants to be there with the team for one. And his presence may know me because some people may have a gift that they can feel his presence and hear him and that kind of thing. Just like people have gifts, other people are just gifted that way.

But I do think that's a real possibility that spirits can stick around. And I can see where people may want to stick around with people that they love. And I don't mean necessarily romantically, but rather from a team and working hard to do that and want the best for their friends. Yeah, I would agree with that.

So as we've been talking about these arenas and the energy behind the games and the players, maybe these arenas aren't haunted the same way all the houses are. Maybe it's more haunted by moments. You grieve the excitement of the emotions. But they're still fun.

It's still paranormal. It's still interesting. If I had the opportunity to invest in one of these big famous arenas that you have, tens of thousands of people in, I think that would be fascinating. But we have a ton of more things to talk about.

So don't go anywhere. You are listening to the supernatural hour. Alright, so let's give a quick shout out to our radio Ronan sponsors of the Supernatural Hour for the soon-ever list of Radio Ronan. After all our episodes go to Radio Ronan, it's like a really, really good morning show without the terrible music and without the voter pill ads.

So it's just really good. It's pop culture and humor and it's just a lot of fun. So shout out for our friends at Radio Ronan. And the widow's web coming up is brought to you by the Walt Whistle.

And we're going to talk about our Valentine's investigation about this. We have a Valentine's night a little later in how wonderful their Shikita Retray was and what their investigation was. But they are bringing you the win-offs. Well, sadly for this episode, Drake doesn't have a tool for this one because Drake's had a very busy week.

Well, and that is okay. If it's okay, I am going to throw in a little something for you. I don't know that this is necessarily equipment and Castle, you will appreciate this. But I have a bag.

It's a big bag that I put on my equipment. And my big equipment. I've got a couple of bags. I've got a little hair one for my little stuff.

Bigger one for the bigger stuff. And I got the pull apart foam to put in it. But it felt like I got this huge bag, but not that much stuff in there because it's like the foam took up all the space. And so I had a little help from Jat GPT and my own Googling.

I hopped on to Amazon and ordered... ... and Castle, you'll know what these are actually called. But they're like little padded things with Velcro on each side that you put your lenses in.

Oh, yes. Case dividers. Thank you. But they're just kind of long rectangles.

So you can mix and match them however you want. And I ordered some of those and I thought rather than having foam that I got to fill my bag up with, I just wrapped these around the things that I needed. Wanted a little extra cushioning and a gating about more of my bag. That's a really nice idea.

A little tip. Alright, so I am going to plug Arshwag. And I say this every time people are pricing and hearing it. I have not updated that section of the website yet.

Castle is a very, very busy man. However, if you want swag reach out to us and we have T-shirts, we have mugs, you name it. We got to just tell us what you want and we will get a price for you and we'll get a ship right up to you. So contact us for your supernatural hour gear and we would love to see you representing it at our public investigations.

And before we hop off of our website, Castle is so busy that Raven has been doing some updating on it. Very, very minor updating because I break stuff and then I have to call Castle and make you fix it. And we have been putting up some new articles on our WISPS page. Then I had a lot more put on there and then I got some more 500 error and we're having that fixed.

But if you haven't hopped onto our WISPS page recently and read to the articles, you want to give something to read, pop on there because we've added a few more. And as soon as that error gets cleared out, we will have even a few more on there. So we've added some case studies and if you want something to read, there's some new stuff on there. Alright, so let's go to our junk drawer which is sponsored by Huey's Performing Arts and Cultural Events Center.

If you're in a karaoke, they do karaoke's at every Wednesday night. It's every Wednesday night at seven. It's every Wednesday night so if that's something you enjoy doing and then we plan on being there later this year. So if you haven't had a chance to investigate there with us, you will get that chance a little bit later in the fall.

So we are going today to talk about the demon chicken of Delaware. Have you all heard of the demon chicken of Delaware? Sounds delicious. 17 herbs and spices.

Maybe one of those spices. Sounds like something that the Drake is going to see running around in his part of the state honestly. Do you have demon chickens out there? No, but I have a couple that probably can deserve that title.

I have one that can deserve that title. Alright, so get into your imagination phase. I want you to imagine a low ceiling tavern with my fire light. There's a lot of smoke in the air, pipe smoke, scar smoke.

People are slamming tankards against wooden tables. There's people talking, summer debating, summer mad and like angry and not crazy. This is in early America. Politics wasn't polite then, it's not really polite now.

This is in the 1700s, it's in Delaware. They're frustrated with the taxes, they're tired of being a colonist and no representation. So their discussion of politics was loud, it was personal and honestly just really aggressive sometimes. Cockfighting was really popular at the time.

It's not just gambling, but it was a way to prove whose side was stronger. If they're in the cockfighting, if they're animal one, it gave them some bragging rights and I'm better because I went in the cockfighting. So there was one particular night, just extra heated and there was just this really aggressive political argument. There was this large fighting rooster was brought into the tavern and this is pretty common.

And the bird was meant to represent one side superiority, but according to folklore at the time, the moment this particular rooster hit the tavern floor, something shifted. And witnesses will tell you that the bird began to grow, like actually getting bigger. Its feathers flared, its wings spread really wide, and some say that its eyes just burned red. And whether that was flickering light, whether this is just an urban legend, whether it was really red, or just what's the word I'm looking for, mirroring the firelight.

Everyone stopped arguing and the room got completely silent. So they're all looking at this rooster, it's continuing just to get bigger and bigger and taller and taller, and they say that its claws were scraping against the wooden blanks, and some people will tell you that it filled the room. Others said that the wings were being so violently, that the building was shaking and then it changed. The simple fighting bird became something just monstrous, it was demonic, and before anybody could really do anything, the creature just vanished.

No feathers, no shattered furniture, nothing, no explanation. After that all the locals whispered that before moments of political strife and anguish and Delaware, before particularly ugly debates or public turmoil, that this demon chicken would return. Just this glowing-eyed spectral rooster just would appear as a warning that something was going down. Yep, a supernatural chicken tied to politics, so that is your drunkard or for today.

On that note, we're going to sit with two who would have been to a tale lately. They've got great demonic chicken, the new dish, the oblow. It burns twice and end out. Hello, the oblow.

Alright, what EVP have you got for us tonight, Castle? Alright, so let's talk about EVP. So this one is from a residential investigation I did. It's a few years old, so if we listen to a quiet we're going to hear it.

Let's go ahead and play that right now. Here's your hear voice that says, I'm here in this house. This is where we have the most activity. It started out with just noises at night and then it's changed to...

This is where we had the most activity. It started out with just noises at night and then it's changed to... This is where we had the most activity. It started out with just noises at night and then it's changed to...

So what do you guys think of that? That's one that I haven't heard before. Yeah, it's interesting. There's a lot of activity in this house.

This house had security cameras because it had burglary. I actually played another EVP from this house, I think a previous episode, as they don't want to leave here EVP. But while we're there the security cameras were actually turned up to point towards the ceiling. The family seemed black shadow figures, but it kind of sounds like an older gentleman.

But I'm here in this house. I don't know, it's interesting. What are your thoughts on Chad? I always find the EVPs really interesting because when we say they're really clear, they're clear, but they're soft and they're muffled.

But some really jump out. To me it sounds like he's... I don't know, I wouldn't call it sing-songy, but it's almost like he's just kind of playing with you. Or I'm here in this house.

That's what I'm going to say. It's like a teasing. But yeah, I'm here. What are you going to do about it?

That's our VP for tonight. Nice. I like that one. Okay, now on to investigations.

We went to the wild whistle and we did something that we have never done before, which is have investigation on Valentine's Day. And we were a little torn about it. It's like this is a holiday. Either it's going to be really popular or it's going to be a bust.

Did you love it? Did you love the investigation since Valentine's Day? I did. Not only did we, everybody else, seemed to.

We sold out. We sold out. And we wanted to make it clear that it wasn't a Valentine's investigation, that it wasn't. You had to bring your love.

You could go by yourself. You could bring your friend. You could bring a neighbor. It wasn't date exclusive.

But we had the wild whistle. They made us a short shoot report and they made a pastry board. And these were freaking delicious. I think I ate more here than I've ever eaten investigation.

We had our toasters and M&Ms. Don't worry. A lot of people would be sad if we didn't have those. But it was a fantastic spread.

And then they let us get sodas. And they said if you want to, they had all the little flavor to tourani flavorings. They said you can flavor them up. And I don't know anybody else did, but I flavored up and me a couple of sodas because I do that.

But the food was fantastic. And as always, the wild whistle does not disappoint. Our Chad, let's see. Castle, you weren't able to make it and Drake, you weren't able to make it either.

No. Not like it, unfortunately. We got a ton of really cool EVPs on this investigation. Lucy was very active down in the basement.

She was making activity go crazy. People were feeling her. We had people that got stomach aches, headaches. And it was interesting.

At one point in the evening, we had enough investigators that I had just traveled around. And we had two new trainees. And so I followed them around a little bit. I told them, I'm not going to sign you with any group.

I want you to just wander, experience each group a little bit and see how each investigator conducts these investigations. And so I just wandered around. And Aurora's group was back in the conference room where the food was. And so I wandered back there for just a second because I needed some more artichoke dip.

And Chad desperately wants to say something in the middle of my story. Yeah. Well, and the room that you're talking about, they had all this arts up. Yes.

Every time we go there, they're making it better. They've got the dining room and that area all done and that's been done. But they're making other parts of this really neat. And they had, I don't know if it was multiple artists or whatever, but a lot of very interesting art that has been set up and available in the room.

And it added to the ambiance of the whole investigation. Anyway, back to your wonderful artichoke dip, which was delicious. It's a very good story. It was delicious.

But okay, before we get back to my story, they did tell us the owners said that they are going to try to showcase a local artist back in that room. I can't remember if they said it once a week, once a month, it's been a great work since. But yeah, the artwork was fantastic back there. So went back to get my artichoke, because it was delicious.

And I said something about, they said that they could feel a spirit back in the corner. It's the corner that Castle Yuluit, Landrecht, you'll know this. There's a spirit that hangs out in that room. It's named Peter.

Not a very nice spirit. And I went back and I said, yeah, we're seeing it. I said, oh, it's probably Peter. And all their jobs dropped.

And they said, we keep getting the name Peter over and over again in our ITC machine. And so that was really cool. And it was an amazing investigation. We had a lot of fun.

And then yesterday we did a residential in Magna. And the people's home that we went to, they pretty much knew what was there. They just wanted some clarification and make sure that was what was there. They had two family members that had passed fairly recently.

And a very beloved dog that also had passed recently. And so we were able to go there, verify that it was their loved ones that were there. We had a lot of EVPs. We got a lot of instruments that were turning on at the same time.

Which to me validates activity. He don't just have to say, oh, it's not just random activity. And nothing terribly crazy. We got some EVPs.

There was a female spirit. So we had already as a group planned a little birthday outing in Twilla. One of the members wanted to go do some antiquing out there. So we went and we ate lunch a cup, which is always amazing.

We hit up a couple antique stores. And then after we had this birthday party planned, the residential came in and the residential was in Magna, which was very close to Twilla. And so we made the residential just a little earlier because I thought as long as we're all out there. So we get there and we talk to the homeowners.

Half of the group stayed upstairs and did some investigating and some of the hotspots up there. Myself and Willow and Archer and Z went down into the basement where there was, and I say basement, it was a very nice, finished, furnished family room. I might have been a little jealous. And we went down there and we set up our equipment and, you know, doing some questions and trying to find out what was down there.

In my long story short, there was a female spirit that had followed Willow there from one of the antique stores. And so we asked Willow, we said, do you want the spirit following you? She said, no, I do not. So we asked the spirit to leave and she did it with a female.

But it's interesting we got an EVP of her, because we were talking about her, do you like Willow? Is that why you followed her? Does she remind you of somebody? Those types of questions?

And in the EVP, you hear her say, can we be friends? Which I thought was going to cute. But Willow did not want to have her hanging around, so we excused her to leave. We were very nice about it, but we excused her to leave and she did.

But it was a good investigation. Sounds like a lot of fun. I missed it. It was.

Alright, so tonight we talked about a lot. We talked about arenas that could be haunted. Could be just settling of old buildings, but there is some sort of energy there and memories. And who knows what it is, but when you get that many people focused on something, there's going to be energy and who knows what's left behind.

So this is the supernatural hour and watch your bracket. Things could get it this month. And if you hear a basketball bouncing after midnight, don't assume the game is over. If you have a minute, take a look at our socials.

We get new content up there a lot, especially on TikTok. Share it with your family, share it with your friends, and keep it creepy. Hey, have a good night. Well, I'll see you next time.
