Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins" - Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Bible Text: Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ 8. ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. INSPIRATION: Christmas has become many things to many people - a holiday, a travel time, a get-together time, a time to share love and beautiful memories, a time to give gifts, etc. Good as these may be, they still fall short of what the season is about. Thus, so many people would have Christmas without the Christ! Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus, God's beloved Son, whose mission on earth was to save us from sin and reconcile us back to God. Christmas is a revelation of Jesus, and a celebration of God's perfect redemption for humanity. Anything short of this, is a party without eternal values. The season should make you reflect on whom Jesus is, and your personal relationship with Him. Has His mission been accomplished in your life yet? Do you know the love of God and does your knowledge drive you to seek him some more? The God that saves you from sin will do much more for you and with you when you know Him on a more intimate personal basis. This has nothing to do with the church you attend and the role you play there. Do you know Jesus, does He live in your heart? Apostle Paul, with all he knew, still longed to know Him more (Phi. 3:8-10). TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Christmas tells a beautiful story that gives meaning to the meaningless life sin plunged us into. It is God's incarnation for your ultimate redemption. Therefore, be ye reconciled to God in every sense of it. PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for coming to save me. I embrace Your love and salvation and walk in the revelation of whom I've become in You. I'm a child of God with a promise, and it's You who made sure of this. So, I celebrate your birth as I celebrate You in my life, in Jesus name.
