Have you asked?
from Daily Spark · host William Liao
We are implicitly shielded by the questions we choose to not ask. A person who does not ask for feedback is protected from harsh input, but they’re also deprived of useful information that could make them better. Conversely a person who makes a point to ask for feedback makes themselves more vulnerable to potentially harsh input, but they also gain clarity on how to improve. Hard questions are not always bad questions. It’s important to recognize when they can make us better, and to learn to be willing to ask them. This is a public episode.
