Have You Been Snubbed by Your Brain

from Lalitha's Morning Musings · host Lalitha Brahma

In this Episode, Lalitha Explains: How her original intentions to integrate doing a 12 week Home workout Program with writing simultaneously did not happen. Next she explains how her brain snubbed her when she completed the 12 Week Home workout program but not the writing part. Next she explains the conversation and the self-talk that helped her actually realize that she had achieved much more value by pivoting and changing her goal and making course corrections ( that her brain did not give credit ), even though she did not complete the writing part. I hope you will benefit too by trying this technique. Thank you for listening and reading. Link to the article https://link.medium.com/sYxHvxHWOzb

Good morning everyone. This article was published way back on September 13, 2022. And today is what today is May 15, 2023. So I have created a system which makes it easy for me to pursue my desire, my intentions of doing the podcast recording and creating that piece, the short description because I like to do it myself.

It's not a great habit, but it is what it is. I'm working on it and also write articles for medium and I do other things which interests me and also of course my own housework and a little bit of self-employment work which I'm slowly transitioning probably I think in a different transition to a different, I'm going to pivot. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but then that's where I am. So the topic is the title is Have You Been Snubbed By Your Brain?

And the subtitle is Help Yourself By Thinking Differently. So hello my lovely readers. I'm committing to doing a 12-week home workout program. So as I mentioned this program, I completed it as of you know, I completed it, but I had started the home workout program, you know, when you start something, you intend something, right?

So I think I was overly enthusiastic in intending that I will also write about all the 12-week program, correct? So there is a doing part where you do the exercise and I also said let me integrate writing. So I would be observing myself, how I feel about myself, what thoughts I'm thinking, what is it that I want to improve, what is it that I'm learning about myself and what is it about how I learn and how I learn when I commit to learning about myself. So there are so many things, right?

Just to give you an update that I did complete the 12-week home workout program. Did I complete the 12-week writing for every day of that thing? Not sure, because I think after week nine somewhere I stopped. Why did I stop?

Because I had my interest changed. I wanted to publish for different published publications, which means what? I had to understand what the needs of different publications are and I had to see if I fit into it, if my writing is fitted, right? So there was a learning curve involved there.

There is a creativity, there is learning. So my goal changed. So guys, you can change your goal. Okay, okay.

Now I'm going to start reading the article for you guys. Hello, this article was written by me published in, I think it's a sub-publication, in elimination. Okay, okay. Hello my lovely readers.

I'm committing to doing a 12-week home workout program version 1.0 by Heather Robertson observing my body, observing my emotions and writing about life lessons learned. In case you missed it, you can read life lessons learned and takeaways from week one to week four in the article titled, Valuing Your Mondentures Inspires. And from week five to week seven in the following article, this is how I build my growth mindset. Go ahead and check this article guys.

And I've also recorded a podcast episode. If you would love to listen to my voice, if you like hearing my voice, please go ahead and listen to the podcast. And if you would like to read, go ahead and read, share your inputs. As I said, I do not know where the, if it is medium and if you're a paid member, I get to see your responses.

But if it is a podcast, you can go and you know, you can go share your views, your insights, any questions, I would be able to see it. Okay, just for the information. So now week eight, day one, the title I've written an article and there's a podcast episode title is What Do Dumbles Do to Spark Curiosity? Week eight, day two, title is Changing Intentions Can Be Like A Rocking Boat and Bills Grid.

And week eight, day three, comfort is good, but getting out of comfort is better. Memory Jogger for the exercises for week eight, day four. So I used to, after doing the exercise, I used to try remembering all the names of the exercises and then immediately create a memory jogger. Okay, nice quick dirty workout, Tabara, Side Leap and Hop, Oblique Wisher, Scissors, Squat, Burpee Jack, stability ball, all, all this using stability ball.

Basic crunch, oblique crunch. That reminds me, as of today, I've been slacking off and using stability ball guys. I need to do that. Prayer Crunch, Pike, Blue Bridge, One Leg Race, Blue Bridge, Left, One Leg Race, Blue Bridge, Right.

My article for week eight, day three was published on August 31st. As I mentioned in one of my previous articles, I recall and typed the names of the exercises after I complete the day's workout in a draft and revisit them later to edit and publish as an article. As of this writing, September 10, 2022, I have completed the 12 week home workout program and I feel so great. Yay!

My brain is snubbing and asking me sarcastically, great, great. For piling up and not publishing from week eight, day four, till week 12, day five, which you initially committed to, didn't you? Okay. Yay!

Dear Brain, this is one way of thinking. Okay. The other way is, I now have content for writing 21 articles at my pace. I have also started writing another series on how saying a loud various affirmations can bring about new ways of thinking and help contribute to a growth mindset.

I'm also participating in a 30-day writing challenge. I'm saying that about not to brag, but to help my brain, hey, it's me, I'm responsible for my thoughts. So to help my brain that came up with a snubbing and a sarcastic thought, right? The brain always likes you to be unhappy.

Okay, you finished, you completed your 12 week program, you did all those days. But how about writing which you committed yourself? Hey, I wanted to speak to my brain and say, hmm, this is what it is. So I'm saying about not to brag, but to help my brain that came up with a snubbing and sarcastic thought.

Just by writing what I have accomplished, I was able to prove not to anyone else, guys, but to me and to my brain that it was wrong. There is another way of thinking, right? Because honestly, yes, have I committed for another 30-day challenge? Absolutely.

Am I doing it? Absolutely. In fact, I completed a day nine after two and there are other things which I mentioned before. Have you been there?

I would love to read about your experiences when your brain snubs you and says, Hey, this is what you did. That's not enough of being sarcastic. One of it is your own brain, not somebody else's your own thought. Shout out to Destiny S.

Harry's for a practical profound short article titled after you reach your goal, rest. Thank you. That was a great article. And finally, the blur, please subscribe to my stories by email for the best chance to catch my original words.
