She now has 20+ years of experience in the media world, 18 of those as a morning show host.  Nira plays an active role in the community, volunteering her time for various charities and speaking events.   Nira also keeps herself busy with freelance television and writes a column called Nira’s Hot List.  Her and her husband Garry are proud parents to 2 boys and a girl, Shae, Aavi and Jaya, plus their adopted pup Sushi.   Nira has a major love for: her Indian heritage, scary movies, vampire shows, spiritual healing books, impromptu livingroom dance parties, recreational sports, spicy food and red wine.  Her personal mantra ‘Work Hard.
