Having a Ready Heart

Jesus was constantly warning His disciples that Good Friday and Easter would soon be here. In the Gospel of Mark, we hear Jesus warn his disciples three times of their impending arrival. But yet Jesus' disciples seem clueless about what is fast approaching. In one of these encounters we even hear Jesus rebuke Peter over his hard heart. As we read these stories we can chuckle and scoff at the disciples not being better prepared for what’s coming. Perhaps if Jesus warned them a 4th time? Or perhaps a 5th time they would have been ready? The truth is that the disciples were not ready for what was coming because they’re hearts were not ready. Are our hearts ready for what is coming? During this message we’ll be focused on getting our hearts and lives ready for the arrival of Good Friday and Easter.
