Having The Patience To Move Through Your Emotions, State & Phase Of Being

from Raw Conversations with Corinne Blum · host Corinne Blum

We are an instant coffee kind of culture. We want to fix and make things better instantaneously, and often strive to getting rid of symptoms vs looking at the core. Our emotional world needs time. It needs patience. It requires us to be present, stay and be with our experience for more than a millisecond. It can be a tall order in a society that vies for our attention all around the clock. So more often than not, people push their feelings down and “away,” putting them in a state of emotional stagnancy rather than flow. Our emotions, states of being and the phases we move through are just asking us for our presence. When we let go of judgment from the egoic mind, and drop into heart and compassion, it becomes much easier to sit with our emotions, our human experience and move through the various ups and downs of life. We’re here riding the waves. It’s not a linear journey so don’t expect yourself to move along a straight and rigid line. Being human can feel messy sometimes. Welcome, you’re not alone. The trick is to drop the judgment and come into trust (which naturally occurs when we drop into the heart). From there, we’ll find we have all the love, compassion, kindness and patience that we need in order to navigate this wild ride of being human.
