Hawk Fire Response in Nevada | Las Vegas News

A massive wildfire in Washoe County, Nevada—the destructive Hawk Fire—has already burned over 15,000 acres and forced thousands to evacuate, with some homes lost. Officials confirm it’s human-caused, prompting Governor Joe Lombardo to declare a state of emergency and activate Nevada Task Force 1, a specialized search-and-rescue unit equipped with trained dogs for locating survivors and remains. Backed by Clark County Fire and made up of firefighters, medics, and engineers from across the Las Vegas Valley, the team kicked off operations Monday morning, aiming to support recovery efforts as crews work to bring the blaze under control. This disaster underscores the critical role of rapid-response teams in the face of escalating wildfires. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
