Hawkeyes Seek Sweet Sixteen Push

Iowa’s women’s basketball team kicks off their season with high stakes against Towson, aiming to break through to the Sweet Sixteen after last year’s early exit. Coach Jan Jensen, in her third year, faces the challenge of blending new talent—including top recruit McKenna Woliczko—with returning players to build chemistry fast. The opener, set for November 2nd at home, comes just after the football team’s Wisconsin game, creating a perfect fan frenzy. With tough non-conference matchups like Vanderbilt looming, this game is more than just a win—it’s about laying the foundation for a national run.
