Hawkeyes Short-Handed Against Northern Iowa | Iowa Hawkeyes Football News

Hawkeyes face a tough Saturday test against Northern Iowa, missing key player DJ Vonnahme—last year’s top receiver—who’s sidelined with an injury. With Vonnahme out, Tony Diaz and Reece Vander Zee will step up at tight end, Diaz already leading the team in receptions. The offense also faces uncertainty with starting RB Kamari Moulton listed day-to-day and backup L.J. Phillips Jr. still recovering from an ankle injury. QB Hank Brown remains the starter. Northern Iowa, coming off a big win and honoring Kurt Warner, is hungry and dangerous—making this a must-win game for Iowa despite their injuries.
