Hazards of half-hearted forgiveness - Audio

Half-hearted forgiveness can result in unanticipated consequences. If there is only superficial forgiveness there often is incomplete repentance. As with David and his son Absalom, after Absalom killed his brother for violating his half-sister Tamar, David forgave Absalom but only partially, as he wouldn’t show his face. This fueled rebellion in Absalom’s heart which resulted in Absalom eventually usurping David’s power, at which time David had to flee. God’s forgiveness is completely adequate and a great deterrent against sin.
