HBB: The Replacements - "Talent Show"

BIO: The Replacements were a punk rock band formed in 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota composed of Paul Westerberg (Vocals and Guitar), Bob Stinson (Guitar), Tom Stinson (Bass), and Chris Mars (Drums). The band were the forefathers of what became Alternative music, and were influenced by such bands as Big Star, Faces, The Beatles, as well as The Clash and The Jam. They became known for many great albums including: Let It Be and Tim. They also became known for their tendency to drink to excess, which had an effect on their live shows. Bob Stinson was fired from the band in 1986, and Chris Mars was fired in 1990. The band disbanded in 1991, with both Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson pursuing various projects (Westerberg with solo recordings, and Stinson more recently joining Guns-n-Roses). WIKIPEDIA LAST FM
