HBCU Liberation Tour 09/28/2024

From September to October, NMAC, formerly known as the National Minority AIDS Council, is visiting 9 HBCU campuses in the South through its HBCU Liberation Tour. HBCUs represent the seat of young, The goal of the tour is to encourage young, Black students to register to vote and engage with students about their priority issues and how those are showing up in this election year. One issue being addressed during this tour is how the candidates are supporting HIV issues, as people of color are the most impacted by HIV in the United States. Bruce talked with Destiny Pearson, Program Coordinator for NMAC Coalition for Justice and Equality Across Movements, and Harold Phillips, NMAC Deputy Director of Programs and former Director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy.
