HBF QUICKCAST: Keena’s Race to Defy Cancer and Celebrate Life

from Pete & Kymba · host Hit Network

Esperance mother-of-three Keena Creedon is taking on the half marathon at HBF Run for a Reason 2026 while living with stage four breast cancer, determined to prove to herself that she is still capable of extraordinary things. Diagnosed at 37 after the disease had already spread, Keena has undergone years of intense treatment, including multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation, and continues to travel to Perth every three weeks for ongoing care. Despite the physical toll, she has kept running to support her mental strength, even completing 5km on the first and last days of radiation. Now approaching her 40th birthday—a milestone she once feared she wouldn’t reach—Keena will run alongside close friends, raising funds for the Breast Cancer Research Centre WA, where she receives treatment, in the hope of advancing life-saving research.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
