He Came to Serve

A water basin stood unused while Jesus’ disciples argued about who was greatest. Knowing the cross was near and the Father had given Him all things, Jesus took a slave’s place and washed their feet. His humble act pictured the cross, where His blood cleanses those who trust Him, though they still stumble and need forgiveness. Pride resists both serving others and receiving grace.
