“He Gets Us” Controversy

Each year the Super Bowl inevitably presents a point of controversy. From promiscuous behavior and outrageous commercials to political campaigns and woke agenda you can be sure there is always a buzz following this annual event.This year was no different, however, this time division came from the distortion of theology with the “He Gets Us” campaign.We can never fully judge one’s motives, we can simply look at actions and behavior.In one sense, one can appreciate their desire to bring the name of Jesus to the masses, however we need to bring the light of truth to some of the messages that was being shown to the world through these ads.In today’s episode I cover the messages that were broadcasted and compare them to the light of Scripture to hopefully bring clarity to what the heart of Jesus is to people, sin, temptation, hate and love.
