The central truth of human history revolves around the death & RESURRECTION of Jesus the Christ, Our Eternal Savior. If Christ Jesus has not been raised & our hope in Him is for this earthly life only, then the Gospel is void, our faith is in vain, & Christians are the most miserably pitiable of people (1 Cor 15:14-19). But in fact, Jesus has risen & He is our LIVING “hope of glory” (Col 1:27). Because Jesus rose from the grave, we have confidence of our own resurrection to come in Him (Rom 6:4-5; 1 Cor 15:20-23). And not only did Jesus rise from the grave—He even ascended to the very Throne of Heaven (Mark 16:19; Acts 1:2, 11). “For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death….Therefore, beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain” (1 Cor 15:25-26, 58).
