He Must Increase, I Must Decrease | John 3:30
from Mighty Oaks Daily Devotional Hosted by Mighty Oaks Foundation
In a world obsessed with self-promotion and building personal platforms, John the Baptist’s words in John 3:30 bring us back to the heart of true purpose: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” John understood that his role was not to elevate himself but to point people to Jesus. Every platform we have, whether in public, at work, online, or within our families, is an opportunity to make more of Christ and less of ourselves. When we shift our perspective this way, our lives take on eternal significance.
