When someone in Rome became a Christian their families typically pushed off from them because they were labeled as enemies of the human race! This made it very difficult for them. Rome was an awesome place for the elite to live but the lower class had a daily struggle. Therefore, Paul will take some time to encourage the believers by acknowledging their fruitfulness.
