He Was in the World, But the World Did Not Know Him“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.” - John 1:10. Imagine creating something with love — something you poured your heart into. You designed it, shaped it, gave it purpose. Now imagine that your creation completely ignores you. Doesn’t recognize you. Doesn’t care. That’s exactly what happened with Jesus.The Creator entered His own creation. He walked dusty roads, touched the broken, wept with the hurting, and loved those who hated Him. He did all this for us — for you and for me. Yet the world… didn’t recognize Him.Jesus wasn’t just ignored — He was rejected, mocked, betrayed, and crucified. And that rejection continues today. Many say they’re Christians, attend church, and follow religious traditions, yet they never truly let Jesus rule their lives. They say “Lord,” but live as if they’re in charge.Jesus doesn’t just want to be remembered on the Sabbath while being forgotten the rest of the week. He wants to reign over every part of your life — every day. He wants your whole heart. He wants to transform your thoughts, your desires, and your plans. But that only happens when you surrender your sins and let Him take full control.Questions to Reflect On:- Have I truly recognized Jesus as the Lord of my life, or do I just admire Him from a distance?- Is there a sin I’m holding onto that’s keeping me from fully receiving Him?- Am I letting Him guide my decisions, my friendships, and my dreams?Prayer:Lord Jesus, I realize that I’ve called You Lord with my lips, but haven’t always lived like You truly are. Forgive me for pushing You out of my choices. I don’t want to be like the world that didn’t know You. I want to receive You, love You, and truly follow You. Reign in me. Change me. Make my life a reflection of Your light. Amen.Challenge of the Week:Take time each day this week to reflect on who Jesus really is. Read the Gospels and watch how He lived. On Sabbath, set aside special time to connect with Him — in rest, worship, and gratitude. Then ask yourself: “Does my life look anything like His?” If not, ask Him to begin that transformation in you — starting now.
