He Will Come To Judge The Living and the Dead | Romans 12 17-21 - Clint Leavit
from Midtown Presbyterian Church · host Midtown Presbyterian Church
We're a culture that has grown used to asterisks - we inherently assume that hiding underneath any claim of good news is some sort of bad news. And when we arrive to the statement that Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead, many of us assume it to be bad news hiding under good news. Watch as Pastor Clint unpacks the significance of these words in the creed and in the scriptures - it turns out the judgment of Christ isn't bad news at all, but is actually an essential part of the good news of the Gospel. The judgment of Christ is good news because we need it, because it gives us freedom, and because it is Jesus that brings it. Sermon Resources: 1. “If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?” -Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Join or follow us below: Facebook: www.facebook.com/thespringmid...
