He Will Never Leave You

from the new Jerusalem Hosted by Subir Joshua Gorey

Take a moment and think about some of the hardest emotions you've carried through your life. Grief. Sadness. Stress. Rejection. Humiliation. Loneliness. The moments when you felt misunderstood, abandoned, or simply exhausted from carrying something that no one else seemed to understand. And perhaps there have been moments when you've wondered, “Does anyone really understand what I'm going through?” The answer is closer than you may realise. Jesus does. When He walked this earth, Jesus was not a stranger to pain. He experienced rejection, betrayal, loneliness, grief, humiliation and suffering. He knows what it feels like to be misunderstood. He knows what it feels like to be abandoned by people you trusted. So what happens when you realise that the God you pray to isn't distant from your pain, but understands it? • Does Jesus really understand what we experience? • What does Scripture tell us about Jesus' own suffering and emotions? • What do we hold onto when we feel completely alone? • And how do we keep going when the people around us don't understand what we're carrying? This episode is a reminder that your pain is not invisible to God. You may feel like no one understands, but Jesus knows. You may feel like you're walking through something alone, but He is with you. And His promise is not dependent on how strong you feel today. Hebrews 13:5-6 “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” What if the peace you need today begins with simply believing that you are not alone? Jesus understands the pain you cannot put into words. He understands the tears you don't explain, the rejection you still carry, and the seasons where simply getting through the day feels like enough. You don't have to pretend you're okay before you come to Him. He already knows. And He is still there.
