Prior to working with HeadCount, Sam was a writer and online editor for Relix Magazine and OffBeat Magazine, and a Staff Writer for the Marijuana Policy Project. He interned with HeadCount during his senior year at the New School, where he received his B.A. in History in 2012. Sam received his Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020.
