In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour, this is your host Raven. This is Moon.
This is Chad. This is Velma. Nine Quizky. I don't know why that feels like it's been a hundred years since we've podcast, but it hasn't.
It just feels like it. It's just in a couple weeks, just chock full of stuff. We didn't get graduated. We did.
What was key? It's a time as however you perceive it. I know. Sometimes it's like, I think we just recorded and this other time it's like, no, I even remember how to record.
So one of the times we didn't today, clearly we all showed up, but the recording software didn't. Yeah, we almost didn't record today, folks. All right, we have actually quite a few investigations to talk about, but we will get to those later. So before we get started, we want to talk a little bit about the guy that did a great job on photographs for Raven's graduation pictures and that's Castle of Castle Photo Art.
He went up to the U with her and took her graduation photos and did a spectacular job. He does graduation photos, wedding photos, just outdoorsy folders for families, all sorts of things. And he also has his nature studio photos where he does a lot of really neat, well-blocked pictures. He gets some good ones too.
So we just want to do a shout out to our patrons. We love you and you probably are so shocked that you guys got your patreon quarterly swag before the quarter that has never happened. I have actually rain cells that can rub together now, so stuff happens. And the email version will be coming out very soon.
Yes, and speaking of new patrons, we have a new Patreon package. So if you sign up as a patron and after four months, we will send you a swag box. I have a box. I've got the purple, crinkly filler to go in it.
We've got all sorts of stuff. Moon made us some stickers. We've got a K2 meter in there. We've got some cat balls.
We're going to put other stuff in there that's just the beginning, but it will be fun. So if you've been thinking about being a patron and just haven't really jumped on that yet, now is the time to jump on it because these boxes we send out are going to be amazing. And that is for the postal patrons and above? Yes, because I can't sign a box through the email.
So I'm not going to send you a picture of it, but not quite as much fun. Also if you haven't read Ghost in Springtime, we're going to be doing a book review on that soon. So grab it like we've mentioned before, it looks like it's going to be pretty short, easy read, probably get it read in an hour or two. How can they get that book?
On Amazon. Okay. Called Ghosts in Springtime. And then we are looking at an investigation in June.
We actually did kind of a mini investigation yesterday at this location. I don't want to name it yet. We will talk about the investigation that we did yesterday, but we are in negotiations of getting that as our next investigation in June. So as soon as we get that down, we will let you know.
Okay, let's just jump into our topic. This one, I had no idea why it was called where it was. And it's like looking into it and I thought, wow, this is, this is kind of spooky. So it is a valley of headless men in the Hani Valley, Canada.
So this is a Whiskeys, Whiskeys realm. Every time I think Canada, I think of you. Did you live in Canada for a while? I did, but my family's from Quebec.
So just we could be quiet. A little different area, but they live in Edmonton, Edmonton, Alberta. Don't say that on the podcast. Dear people in Quebec, I understand.
Okay, I'm offended, but nobody else will get it. Yeah, it is up in a great white nort up there. It is just beyond the realms of British Columbia and Alberta. So it's more on the western side of Canada, but very far north is actually in the northwest territories, which is close to the Yukon.
It touches that and the Yukon territory. Fun fact, the license plate is a bear. It's literally cut out in the shape of a bear. I've never been more jealous of license plates.
The actual license plate? Not a picture of a bear on a license plate. The actual license plate is bear shaped. I saw a bunch of them up there.
I'm like, why can't we do that? We have to have rectangles and we can make them look cool, but they have an actual bear. So anyway, that's a fun little fact there. But yeah, it's a huge huge, huge national park.
It's actually expanded in the early 2000s by Canada. So it totals up now to 30,000 50 square kilometers or in freedom units, 11,600 square miles, which is just to me an unfathomable amount of land. Like I can't even, I feel like you could walk your whole entire life and not get halfway. Especially with a lot of the features I have around there, steep canyons, lots of huge waterfalls, thermal activity, basically examples of every type of geology that you can imagine.
All throughout there, all of these unique features actually had it inducted into the UNESCO World Heritage Properties. Only two years after it was initially created by Canada. So pretty impressive. Canada saw some cool made a national park and the World Heritage List two years later said, yeah, you know what, put that on the list.
And then in 2009, they of course expanded it by 2.5 million hectares. So. So. When we were looking at when I was just going to read about it, it sounds absolutely beautiful.
And I was really discouraging to hear that it was just very, very inaccessible. That's basically all of Canada. So Canada only recent Canada is a huge country, but only recently did it pass the state of California in total population for their entire country. So basically everybody in Canada, the majority of the population lives near the border and the rest of it is not really airable land.
It's all just kind of nothing. So that's what's always funny when people are like, oh, they need us to defend Canada. I'm like, no, actually nobody's getting through thousands of miles of nothing. So I think they're pretty solid.
OK, they'll make it. They got a guy up there with a snowmobile and a walkie-talkie to defend in the border. I'm sure, you know, they'll know they're coming. All right.
So there is some indigenous history with it. And they are the Dene tribe. And they inhabited the valley for thousands of years. They have been the primary inhabitants of the land.
So their history passed down from generations, tell of another tribe, names the Naha. And it's said that the Naha were a warring tribe that lived in the mountains and would come down the valley to raid and kill people. The Dene people named the area Nahani, meaning the river of the Naha people. So this is an important fact because it provided a form of proof that a different tribe lived there because the Dene said that the Naha tribe just vanished without a trace.
Never did we see it again. So they also speak of an unknown evil there, the Dene tribe, sacred spirits, sacred mountains, and taboo areas in the Nahaani valley. That is the history of the indigenous people. A lot of the indigenous tribes in Canada are referred to as the First Nations.
So where we often say like Native American, they say First Nation, First Nation land and the different nations inside of there. So I think that's pretty cool. Just to kind of build on what Mun says about the evil that lurked there, there was a special place, a special place, but a certain place within the valley that they called the 200-mile gorge. This was special to the Nahani and the native speak of an unknown evil Dene there, like Mun said, and married people would enter there.
And a lot of it was because of just some of the events that transpired there. So this 200-mile gorge got the name Valley of Headless Men. And when I first came across this, I'm like, oh Valley of Headless Men, that's interesting, but I never really known Tommy Wise called Valley of Headless Men because you know, headless men, that's not necessarily a great thing. So the origins of this nickname, it traced to the early 20th century.
And this would have been the time of the Kondai Gorge. So there's going to be like the Gulf of Russian California, just in Canada. And they had prospectors that wanted to test their fortunes and they wanted to just head out to remote areas of Canadian wilderness, especially the Yukon where they found gold. You know, in the rivers, the soil.
And as we all know, if you just hit a vein, you know, boom, you're going to strike gold, you're going to become very wealthy. So two prospectors decided that they were going to just go off the beaten path. They weren't going to adhere to the other traditional routes and the locations. Going to the Yukon, they wanted to try to look more over than the Hani Valley.
And these two brothers were of Metis ancestry. Their names were Willie and Frank and Cloud. The Cloud actually. I know this in the Cloud.
In 1906, they can ood up the river to reach the Hani Valley. And that was the last time anyone saw them live. They didn't hear from them. They didn't turn up anywhere.
So two years later, in 1908, there was a search party that set out to see if they could find them and they discovered there's skeletons that are remains in a camp. But the interesting thing is both of them were headless. From the reports, it says that they seemed to be asleep when they were attacked. One of the brothers, his body was, you know, as it was laying, it was reaching out towards a gun, as though it were trying to get a gun for defense.
And there was a third man who was a companion of theirs. His last name was Muir. He was just completely missing. So that, you know, why and why.
So I have a couple more victims, too. We have, there's one named Martin Jorgensen, Swiss prospector who ventured into the valley, whole other guys. And in 1917, so it's a little better than the other two, he built a small cabin near the flat river deep in that valley. And he supposedly found gold and excited his fellow prospectors around him.
But later, his cabin was discovered burned to the ground and his headless ball nearby. So a couple of times it was murdered by... He was possibly murdered by rival prospectors. He wanted the gold, or the serious forces that haunted the valley.
The indigenous legends speak of the Nahad tribe, you know. So supposedly that could have been after with that. But another one would be John O'Brien. And he experienced outdoorsman, so he should know how to handle harsh wilderness.
But in the winter of 1922, he was frozen. On the mountainside near Deadman Valley, he was found hunched over a pile of tin, pulling a matchbook as if he was trying to light a fire. But then he suddenly froze to death. Some people believe he was overcome by extreme coal and unable to start the fire.
But other suggest that he was frightened to death, as his body was found in a rigid, terrified posture. So who knows? But he wasn't headless. So it could be a different factor there.
So was he really dead? Yeah, he would think that would happen. Was a couple more people. We have Angus Hall and Annie LeFart.
LeFart? I don't know. You guys would call her Fanny LeFart at that point. Annie LeFart disappeared without tracing the valley so it's more of a disappearance.
And then Joe Mahaland and Bill Efir, their cabin was burned to the ground. We're seen again. So it's not just how those people, but that's definitely a trend. I think all of that really plays into just like a whole theory around national parks in general.
Like, I don't know if you guys looked into any of those, but like all national parks have all kinds of mysterious disappearances. And some people say that they're hiding things there, the supernatural beings. And with that amount of land that they set aside for a natural park, if the theory is true, it's got to be a really powerful supernatural being roaming the land. And then, you know, it's like, you know, okay, that's okay.
Here's the thing though, those deaths are just from around the same time period. There's a lot of people looking for gold in that area. So like to me, it's like, I don't know. There's probably some people who want their gold.
Are there any recent day things? Like why would it suddenly stop? I don't know. We got the internet now, so we don't need to go outside.
Just already got some gold off Ebay. I thought you all of Amazon. But you know, Chad and I actually watched a lot of true crime. You know, we don't know, you know, no one has found out why there seems to be a lot more, you know, decapitated than not.
And, you know, is it a serial killer? It was like the early 1900s. You know, was it a serial killer? You know, and then did someone stumble across it and think, oh, you know, and then you got some copycat murders going on.
Which kind of brings about the story of the man named Albert Johnson. He was called the Mad Trapper of Rat River. So some, and all right, the Mad Trapper of Rat River. That didn't end fast.
He had heard that the McClouds probably had a mine. That was kind of what wasn't his head. And he had a crude log cabin that was about 40 miles from Nani. They think that Albert Johnson was a pseudonym, and that his true identity is unknown.
And he was searching for the McClouds supposed to last mine. And he actually was quite notorious, and that's how he got his nickname. And in December of 1931, one of the native trappers complained to the local police that someone was tampering with his traps, you know, tripping them, hanging them on trees. And he thought that this Albert Johnson might be the guy who did it.
So on December 26th, a couple of constables who were experienced in the area, trekked 60 miles to Johnson's cabin to ask him, you know, hey, you know, what are you doing? So as they approached, they saw some smoke coming from the chimney, and he refused to talk to them. And they said that he seemed like he didn't even notice them. So one of the constables looked in the cabin window, and Johnson put a sack across it, you know, like I'm not even going to acknowledge you.
And so after a while, the constables just, you know, returned back to town, and, you know, so they could get a search warrant. So five days later, they go back, they head to other men with them, and Johnson again refused to talk. And eventually, they had constable decided to enforce the warrant and force the door open. And as soon as he started to force the door, Johnson shot him through the window.
So then, of course, there's, you know, firefights that broke out, and, what did I say that killed King? They didn't. He actually just moved it. They were able to get everybody back to town, and he recovered.
But they finally cornered him near a river in the northern Utahan territory. And it just became kind of a media circus because Johnson and Johnson were just on the gym for so long. They finally were able to take him into custody after a foot chase, which sounds like the running, but you know, they were searching for him one foot, for more than a month, and then they had another big shoot out. And he was actually failing wood in this shoot out in the Yukon.
But in his possession, they found gold teeth that were extracted from the mouse of prospectors that were found dead in the head of the valley. So, you know, was he the murderer? Who knows? But it could be.
And just found, you know, opportunity. Exactly. And he may have stumbled across already dead bodies and found some gold. The final thoughts, you think it's supernatural?
You think it's animals? Because I know animals was one of the early theories. Prospectors hunting each other down. I think it was a headless horseman.
That's where he grew up. He's actually headless. He's from the headless region. My boat goes to serial killer.
I mean, I think ultimately all of the real, I don't know, the supernatural hours, it's hard to say real, but all of the non-supernatural explanations seem to be plausible. And of course, when it comes to supernatural, it's as plausible as you make it. So... Absolutely.
Or did the Nohani like disappear, but they are still, they're just more hidden, you know? They could still be doing their thing and terrorizing the valley, you know? Keeping people off their land. Yeah.
I think that's super possible, especially just at the size of the land. Also, in the wrap up, I thought I might have been wrong when I was thinking back about the Bear License Plate. And it is from the Northwest Territories. That's why it triggered.
Yukon just says the Klondak on it. It's nothin' too crazy. So this is Bear License Plate area. The only thing about, like thinking about if wild animals did it, one thing that goes in their favor is when you're sleeping in a tent, sleeping bag, all that stuff.
Usually your head is the only thing exposed. And so that would make sense if they went for the head or maybe if they died in their sleep predators or like, even, you know, vulture type animals and stuff. And scavengers would go for the head and potentially take it first. It only bears out there, for the most part, in that specific area are black bears.
So they're not very like violent or anything. I don't know. I don't know. Well, for me, the mystery is just interesting because, you know, if you have enough headless men that you name it, value the headless men, I mean, there's something going on there.
And it would be, I mean, at that amazing. It would be more interesting to me if it were some supernatural reason that the mythic is just a similar serial killer in a copycat. You could say who knows the possibilities are endless. Yes, they are.
And you know, being that close to the Kondai KK, the Yukon, maybe somebody really pushed their limit in testing what they would do for a Kondai car. I guess I'm segueing into myself here. I'm. Well, I didn't say to.
No, they're just nothing. There's nothing there. I don't know. Okay.
I'm a mom. Speaking of crazy conspiracy theories, I feel like creating paranormal equipment is a lot like having a crazy conspiracy theory that you just try to physically bring to life. One thing that I'm working on very slowly, albeit life has been crazier than you could imagine for me. The one of our things that we like to use a lot is a thermal leak detector.
And so we put it out and essentially if the temperature goes up one degree or down one degree, it'll change colors. And so we've had some pretty good intelligent response with that. We've also had it like a blue to say that the temperature dropping and seed equipment in its radius activate at the same time. So got me thinking, there's a lot of different like motion sensors and things out there.
And truly, you know, that is like a light sensor, right? It's detecting infrared radiation and mapping it to a temperature setting. A lot of the motion sensors like the Ghostbusters box that moon has also works off of detecting changes in the light right out in front of it. It's a infrared sensor.
And so what I have been developing is a couple of extra sensors. It's just a straight up infrared receiver and sender. So it flashes a light to a specific pattern and then it picks it back up and back. It works essentially the same way that the XLS works, which is just like detecting the flashing pattern coming back into it.
So I'm setting up one of those that will help us count and detect how many times it goes off and also tell us how far away something is. And also an ultra sound sensor that uses a microphone and a speaker to hear it bouncing back off. So that is more for like physical things in the room. So it would be pretty interesting to me if we got a temperature dip and something interrupted the light flashing across the room and coming back and physically blocked the sound of something enough for it to like trigger and say something is closer to me.
It's hard for me to imagine the ultrasound sensor working because to me, when I think of, you know, like sound waves and things, I don't perceive that as like supernatural, commonly like accepted supernatural manipulation, right? Like people usually see they see lights, they see things move, but they don't like physically see a manifestation most often. So ideally, I want to put all of them out at the same time. Once the ones the designs are finished and I have them all put together and see if we can get intelligent response across all three at the same time, because that would mean that whatever it was had enough mass to affect light traveling through it and sound.
So that sounds awesome. That's the, that's the latest going on. I've been tinkering a little bit with whatever will end up being the official Whiskey Moon Rem pod design. So we'll see.
I haven't printed any samples yet. I haven't sold myself on the last piece, which is the battery compartment. So hopefully, hopefully I'll get, I'll get on that soon. I just, I like, I hit, should I have like a hinge?
Should I use a screw? I don't really want to use a screw, you know, there's, so there's, I have so many options. And I just, I don't know what's my, so don't be surprised if you come out with different compartment options when we, when we get there. And who knows, maybe in some upcoming investigations, we'll talk about some of those pieces of equipment.
Yeah, that's it. That's all that's going on in the lab. Maybe by, maybe by Christmas, I'll have some. I don't know.
What's the biggest one because I like this is a piece of equipment. I actually really like so I'm excited to see it. So you see it in action. Is that similar to the music box ones that whiskey made for you?
Got twice? Yeah, it'd be pretty. Well, it depends. There's so we, I have two different plans.
I plan on using the same box. It just the internal components will take different amounts of space in the box. But that one is like a simple REM pod. And then I have the other end pod, like the one I built for Christy on our team that can give you like a strength reading while also functioning as the REM pod.
So that's the one that has different tones. Yeah, the one in Raven's antique box is the same guts as the simple one and it barely fit in there. So that was, that was a, that was a process. So where to work?
We see apparently Raven didn't like it because she left it up at Fort Douglas. Oh, he's just nasty. It belongs in a museum. So it's funny.
He shows me the pictures like, Hey, is this, do you recognize this? Is this one of ours? I'm like, that's mine. But you know, with the way that some of my devices work, I think you should be happy.
He called you and not the bomb squad. I feel like a lot of the things I designed suspiciously look like bombs. Funny story though, when I went to pick it up, she'd taken the antenna out. She said, sorry, I can't beat the pieces because you got ghosts.
That's some good battery life. Does it turn off or like, is there a switch or there's a switch? She just didn't know. Oh, it just got like left on the whole time.
It's a big old button on this. I haven't inspected it yet. I found something to put when I would start push buttons on and I'd be afraid. You know, you don't know what they do.
And I sure would. Yeah, I'd be like, if I break it, I'll fix it. I'm joking. I don't know.
I know what I'm going to put on my number. I will gladly push all the buttons. I don't know how it broke. It just was sitting there.
Spina buttons. You guys know where I keep all the extra buttons that I find for my clothes and stuff? In your junk drawer. In my junk drawer.
Or even what do you keep in your junk drawer? So I've got so much to have my junk drawer. My actual junk drawer. I don't know.
I don't know why, but I think pens and pencils. I don't know. They just multiply them magically. I can't tell you how many.
I'm pretty sure I don't buy that many pens and pencils, but there they are. It's the ohms. I know. In our paranormal drawer.
It's actually kind of short, but it's interesting. So have you heard about mysterious radio signals that were detected by Australia's park telescope? No. I've heard about a lot of mysterious radio signals detected by a lot of telescopes.
Yeah, a lot. Well, apparently for about 17 years, in Australia, they had the parks telescope. They were giving just these mysterious radio signals. And they didn't know where they came from.
And they were trying to figure out is this, you know, is this just from space? Is it, you know, is it something, you know, is it life? Is it something trying to contact us? And so for 17 years, they were trying to figure out what these were.
Well, they finally figured it out. I guess it's on what it might be. An animal. No.
Rhett. That's also an animal. That's an animal. How do you know?
No, you know what that reminds me of? Okay, we were doing review for our big state science test tomorrow. And there was a question of fill in the blank of the food chain. What is something that makes us all energy?
And this girl was highly insistent that it was a cow. Cow doesn't make its own energy a plant. It does. But we can eat from it like meat and milk.
And I'm like, I can't. So yeah, so rat is also an animal. Okay, maybe for a few more. Okay, anymore guesses before we do the big reveal?
Aliens. Don't come out and say those are animals, all right? How dare you? No, so actually what they finally figured out this was was there was a microwave oven in your right kitchen.
And if it was opened up and made operation, you know, the microwave is going to use open up for work, that's what was sent in a signal. So they were kind of open for life and space, but it was just someone patiently opening the microwave. The microwave is screening in pain. And that was brought to you by the Human Performing Arts and Cultural Events Center.
All right, we had some investigations and speaking of Fort Douglas, we actually talked about that in the last podcast, but Whiskey was not able to be here. So do you want to chat a little bit about your experience at Fort Douglas when we were there? Experience is for ticket holders only. Okay, you know, if you want to experience my experience by a ticket, all right?
We'll take you on an adventure. But for the sake of all of you that are listening since you've listened to this far, I suppose I'll tell you a little bit about how it all went. Number one, first of all, there's a thief, whichever one you stole from Whiskey Moon. Your days are numbered.
Shame on you. Shame on you. Not cool. Especially if you give up freestyle all the time.
What the hell? I'm fine. Part two. Hey, I really tried to get my group to like go around in the museum.
There's so much to look at and to see and to read. But apparently I'm the only weirdo that's like, I want to read all of these while there's nobody else in the museum. So a lot of the group just stuck with me and really enjoyed kind of using the portal, which is our little like advanced spirit box thing, which there's some updates coming to that too in the near future. So watch out world.
But yeah, they kind of stuck with me. We got a couple of responses in the main museum area, the top floor, the main floor, the first floor, I guess. And I got cat ball activity. It was just enough to say like, yeah, we're here.
No, we're not really going to talk to you. I was like, okay, well, we'll rotate eventually. So the next area that we went down to was into the basement, which has all kinds of stuff and it's super organized now, which is nice. There's still less stuff around and everywhere.
But we went down there and I told people, you know, like, hey, this room is full of cow bones. So if there's something haunting us, it's probably a cow. And of course, there's a lot of uniforms, a lot of other memorabilia, a lot of artifacts, just from people that have been at this fort for a long, long time in those rooms too. So a lot of human activity is catalogued in there.
But we went into the little speakeasy room where they used to play poker and everything. And we were getting, and there was some tombstones and they were really cool. I don't know if you guys talked about that last episode, but a lot of tombstones from the actual graveyard, like 1800s way back when tombstones in there. And we were talking and we started hearing like a little kid giggling into the hair.
And then we would hear a grown man talking. And at one point, I was like, okay, interesting, you know, we're hearing these sounds, but we're not getting any responses, try another method, you know, trying to just figure out how they would like to communicate with us. And we get a little bit of your communication lights, but I put the REM pod out. And that was the first time I put it out that hunt.
And I was explaining to the group how it works. And every time I would start talking after I put it down, it would just go off. But I would just be like, so beep, beep, beep, beep. Every single time it would interrupt me.
And so then somebody said the joke, like, you know, knocking his their mood interrupting cow and sort of like a really cow. And so that joke kind of played into the fact that there was a bunch of cow bones. And so I finally got it to stop triggering the REM pod when I was talking and some, I'm more asking questions. You know, trying to like relate it to whatever we had just heard.
And then somebody goes, are you a cow? And so it would not respond to us, to any other thing other than us calling it ghost cow. And through the sounds that we got through this bear box of like a man and it was sounded like a little boy, it seemed to us like the older man was just entertaining this boy by pretending to be a cow to us. So it seemed like they could perceive us and ghost cow, I think really, really spread amongst the crew once we got back into face camp.
I did radio and warn people about the ghost cow just to appease the ghost cow spirits so that hopefully more people would try to talk to ghost cows while they were down there. I do not believe that it was a ghost cow. We also decided that ghost cow probably sound like, moo. Something like that.
So we went to the other building that has like the librarian and then like the off limits area that they let us in, which was super cool. That was fabulous to go into. I've only been in there once. And I mean, before this last investigation and, you know, yeah, that was, it's fun to be able to get down in there.
So cool. It's all spooky, but it's fun. Like really long hallways type spooky. So if you guys can imagine dark long hallways that you can't see the way down the lights off, that's what it's like in there.
Got a little bit of activity. We could hear things moving, but nothing super intelligent down there. We did an estus method session at the request of the group. A couple of people wanted to try that out.
And it went pretty well. One of them was a husband and wife couple and I let a prank happen. I don't often do this, but it was pretty funny. I kind of went through the explanation of, you know, we've noticed that when you're doing the estus method, sometimes a little bit of time passes and you feel like it's been 20 minutes.
Other times it's been a half hour and we're like, Hey, let's do something else. Are you good? And you think it's only been like three, four minutes. And another thing we commonly feel is like somebody's standing in front of you or like walking up to you when you're in the estus method.
So they all had to kind of try to keep track of how much time they were under and saw like how they had no idea actually. They were nowhere close, but determining how long they actually had been doing it for. And so this man and his wife were there. And right when she goes under, he's like, Hey, was he going to pull a prank on her?
And I was like, uh, I said to wear him her husband. I'm like, okay, but don't be weird. And so he taps around the shoulder and she picks her blindfold off really quick. And he's like, it's been an hour after 40 seconds at that point.
She's like so shocked and then everybody started laughing. So great, great paranormal prank. I really made it feel a lot like I was with my team for a minute there. Yeah, they're not.
It was a pretty chill time. I love being in the museums. Like I like that place, but eat neat for the same reason. There's there's a lot to look at in between waiting for response.
It's it's a lot of fun for me in the public situations, you know, you're trying to get a response. So you can't really look at too much. But yeah. Yeah, I think I've got to feel a same way about Benson Grissmill.
I mean, I went to school at Bittini, but it's like one of these days, I just want to go to Benson Grissmill during the day time. Bittini during the day time, you know, the Fort Douglas military museum during the day time and not go to just to see the museum stuff. Okay. So Moon and I were at an investigation yesterday and it was kind of a first time thing.
We actually got called by an organization and you know, the girls with children. And we were told that this was going to be third through eighth grade. And they did have third through eighth graders there. But when we actually did the presentation, it turned out to be six, seven, and eighth graders.
And when I made the PowerPoint, I think I don't want to do a presentation for eight year olds with a presentation, we do it library. So, you know, I don't want to use our normal presentation that we use for eight year olds because it can be probably seen in a little scary. But it was definitely too young for the age group that we had, but that's okay. We we ran with it.
So we had 11 kids, you know, ranging from what 12 to 14. And when they got into the room and we're trying to do the presentation, they were wound up. And kids this time, if you're going to be one of the schools almost over, they only have like one bill because we left. I'm drowning.
Please your God, let it in. So there's that I fell in two hours. I remember why I'm not a school teacher because I was I was done about 10 minutes in. Very remote, just, you know, schools ending.
It's, you know, the end of the day, you know, they've been in school. I mean, there's a couple of factors. I was trying to be patient. I know Moon had to dress him down a little bit.
Laura dressed him down a little bit. My client, little voice tried to just send out a little bit. I don't know that they heard me half the time. We did make it through the presentation.
The page that they liked to the best, though, was with the evidence we had. We had a picture that Whiskey took. We had some a couple of EDPs that were pretty tame. And so we've learned that we're going to put in some, you know, for the older group, we'll we'll scare it up a little bit more.
But then we split up into groups and we had three groups. And Moon, I think your group had four. My group had four and Mill's had three. Mine had four originally, but I think one of the boys that got assigned to my group was like, no way.
I'm not going with them. So I think he ended up with you, which is fine. Three, one or two. He would.
I think he was just kind of bouncing around on the hallway. He, I know he could talk about he poked in two or three times and all my kids kept saying, yeah, yeah. Seems like a nice kid. But as we're doing the presentation and before we split up into groups, there was one point, particularly, that was just, I mean, you seem like a good kid, but just would not stop talking and was just kind of loud.
It didn't ask a few very good questions. I thought in the presentation, but that's good. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I just remember thinking, oh, this is going to be a problem, child. And so I thought, well, you know, everyone's going to be here. I think in time of their day, because it's, you know, it was early in the day.
I thought I'll take the, you know, these exuberant for and thinking this is going to be a really long half hour. But we went down and we got into a room and we got equipment out and I was explaining it to him. And they were kind of getting ragged like they were in the presentation and I'm thinking, okay, I can do this. I can do anything for half hour.
But these boys, I just have to hand it to them. They took it very, very seriously. And when we started actually investigating, they combed right down. They asked amazing questions.
They really dug for answers. They were trying to debunk things. I mean, they went from, you know, I didn't think I was going to be able to handle it to kind of wish I could have stayed a little longer because they were, they were into it. And not once did they get bored.
As far as activity, we had some light balls go off. We had the cat balls go off. We had some activities through my rimp pod, which I did not leave at this location, just so, you know. We heard a couple of voices that we couldn't quite explain.
A couple of kids felt like they got touched in our last, we did kind of three rotations. Felt like they got touched. Not a ton of activity, but enough to get them kind of excited about it. And they're actually going to ask us to come back again next year.
So anyway, Moon, tell us your experience there. So I had three kids and yeah, they were, they're pretty decent. We went into this little hallway where there's an elevator that has a lot of claims to be haunted. So I was like, oh, and there was also some of the foundation that was in this hallway.
That was original. And just when we kind of walked around to figure stuff out when we first got there, several of the team was like, oh, I feel something there. So I was like, oh, let's go over there. We didn't get too much there, surprisingly.
Like I was excited about the elevator because a lot of the people there have heard a lot of stories and have felt things, but we went down the hall and there's a painting of the school just up on a little landing. And so I'm drawn to art. So I go up there and there was a feeling there. And I put out my REM pod and my spirit communication lights and the cap all and we will please hold on.
Hold on. Hold on. You can't hold the cap all the way. You're better than that.
Thank you for believing in me. My taps, which are tremor activated paranormal spheres. Thank you. Thank you.
My brain works that time. I'm so proud of myself. But anyways, I put out the taps balls and yeah, we definitely had a little bit of activity. And as my kids were a little rampunches, especially when in particular, and they were kind of just trying to run all over the place, I'm like, guys, like, can we just spend five minutes at one location because you're not going to get anything?
You know, if they don't warm up to you, you know, or they don't figure out how to use your equipment. So as I was leaving, stuff started lighting up just for me to go tell them, hey, come back up here for a minute, you know? And so we definitely were getting some activity. But the most activity we got was in the last room that we went into and Black Widow was with me.
She's awesome. Um, she had an ITC device that she was using and we were getting some pretty relevant words to what was going on there. And the, the building that we were in used to be an orphanage and the person that opened the orphanage, his name was Tom. And so we had Tom's name come through a couple of times.
And so, um, I looked up Tom and I looked up his wife and we definitely got some lights lighting up when I brought up these pictures on my phone. I do recognize this person and lights are going off. My Rempot is going off like crazy. And so that was really exciting.
And then toward the end, I was like, Oh yeah, my dead bell. So I went out my dead bell and that thing was going off. Like the kid's kind of got a little scared hearing the bell go off so many times, but I'm like, this is exciting guys. This thing doesn't go off normally, but this would be a familiar sound in a school, you know, like the bell going off and everything.
So as I like kids, but some, you know, I like my own kids the most because I read them the way I want them to act. So yeah, like it was fun and I'm glad that we could give them that experience. Um, but yeah, I'm actually reading a bus amount. I'm thinking about some one, two, three eyes on me in there.
Well, for the junior high, it did not work. Okay, I tried. I tried a few tactics and like patience was my best friend because otherwise it wouldn't have worked. Oh, yeah.
No. And like I said, I mean, it's after school. They've just been in school all day long. It's end of the year, you know, the end of the day.
I get it. Um, but actually what you said something about relevant words in that reminds me of the second rotation. We were in and we actually had the most activity and we went in this room. Um, and it was like a gender slash supply closet.
There was not a whole lot of room in there, but we, we got in there. Um, and we actually were speaking with a spirit that we, we think he was an employee there. Anyway, we were talking to him and just different questions we asked about how he died. And every time we would ask a question, um, I just, yeah, TC box, which stays up.
It's very relevant to the point that the kids started asking the box. I mean, they started saying, Hey, will you tell us to the box? The answer to this question. And it gave them a relevant answer.
They probably asked the box specifically, you know, ask the spirit to reply through the box specifically, how I'm going to say six times. And, um, they got relevant answers for those times. Yeah, they got four relevant answers and they probably asked, you know, six, seven, eight times, which I thought was interesting. And then we asked the spirit to knock and, you know, it didn't for a long time.
And then right as we were getting ready to leave the room, it, it knocked and, um, you know, we, we, we, let's make sure it's not getting down the hall, you know, or someone in the next room and there was and there is nobody. So that was cool. I actually walked in on you guys, because I was going to check that out. I'm like, Oh, sorry.
Go cause there's a lot of walking. Anyway, I'm actually excited to go back there because it did feel an old building and you could feel stuff there. So all right. So there was an investigation.
I could not go on any of them sick. I could go. We had a birthday party for whiskey and you guys invested investigated the mystic frog. So you guys can run that because I was not there.
and it's always a good time to share the story of any Patrick are on a team and they're very nice and so they're open that they didn't join us for dinner, but they did hold on the floor until we got there actually a fell back as their event that we plan to be there later at night because they had an event and it didn't tell us that the event was canceled so they just like true champions just stayed there and waited for a second so that that nothing's bad to be there's all kinds of stuff to do especially when you're the owner but yeah we we had never did her and then we stopped by um Christie's house for a little bit of cake and Geezer's gadgets made quite quite the appearance there so that was pretty cool um if you guys don't know what Geezer's gadgets is just ask Black Widow next time you see her and she'll be happy to tell you also I know it's just an investigation relevant yet there's a pretty cool work of art behind me that you guys can't see but maybe if you're lucky I'll send a picture of it to show it for the Patreon or something that Moon and her son both worked on and it says these are our ghost adventures and they have like literally the perfect drawing of my car which is crazy and a chain restaurant that we drop ghosts off at and some uh Creed lyrics coming out of the car so um gives you kind of behind the scenes of what actually goes on behind the scenes of your ghost on so you guys attend but anyways yeah we got there and chatted hung out for a while lost track of time and then finally decided to start investigating I think I'll get an hour later um and we about like a quarter of the way through the investigation got drawn back to one of the rooms that they did readings in um and there was a lot going on for me personally that night um so I was very careful about the questions that I was asking because I knew that I was in a vulnerable state so that's something that's like just to throw out their investigation tip A most of the time probably shouldn't do it but B if you are gonna investigate when you're going through something make sure you're with friends and be really thoughtful about the questions that you might ask because something might take advantage and give you some pretty wacky answers um so I was kind of on edge had my guard up just kind of preparing for something to say something crazy to me since I was you know not as on my game as I normally was and we go back there and this room just felt heavy Chrissy actually almost cried um sitting in the chair and we got SLS in there we got um Spirit Box responses like we got lots of stuff we saw shadow figures down by the hallway the other room across from it that they do like reiki exercises um practitioner practitioner practitioner um also I had a motion sensor in there and it went off a couple times I put a ramp on in there it went off a couple times but something back there was just weird um and it really liked when people were alone I don't know what it's intentions where it was really kind of hard to describe it was really just kind of impacting people physically and emotionally and when I actually went back to that room I heard out loud which I need to go look at my footage I forgot I was recording all the time um I heard out loud this just like woman's voice in my ear like straight up in my ear go uh and that's the first time in a long time I've heard something like that out loud the only thing the last thing I heard out loud was actually at patini and that scream that we got in the basement oh this is my lego yeah other things you know I've heard like sounds of people talking things like that kind of inaudible sounds that you're not sure where they're from um but yeah this was very very audible I can understand it and it was all spooky about you moon how was it so we were kind of separated most and I actually more hung out with Black Widow on their super comfy chairs so where we were we definitely had um itc device that was saying that there was a soldier there and we're getting a lot of um relevant words with a soldier but we also had the spirit communication lights out and he was doing really well with turning them on and I say hey can you turn that off and it would just like slowly dim out and it's just like yes this is the stuff that I'm here for you know so we had a lot of it was just a fun like chatty easygoing night talking like friendly with spirits for the most part we're kind of just chilling and relaxing it was just a fun investigation for whiskey's birthday but you know after a while I thought I'm gonna go back to that little room and see how these guys are doing and so I went in there and we were getting a lot of um words through the portal that whiskey had out and we were hearing a female voice and if I remember correctly like a kind of darker voice and so I mean it kind of matched with what he's saying hearing a woman and then he left and um it was just me and Kristi and I just got this strong feeling to not leave Kristi alone because I wasn't really liking it back there like it was really heavy and then I ended up getting kind of like a headache on my left temple and so after I think Brandy came back and as soon as she came back and I saw that she was hanging out I'm like I'm out of here like this is not the vibe for me tonight so I went back to where I was a little lighter and funner and um whiskey was out there and he I think he went back and he ended up getting the same headache that I did and as soon as you leave that area it's gone it's like crazy so it's it's really nice to see that we are having similar experiences without necessarily telling each other until we tell each other and then it's like I had the same thing so it was it was a fun investigation for me I enjoyed it it's a fun night we also streamed it on tiktok and let me just say so many people that showed up on tiktok and said things I'm sure it's literally no way from the list of the podcast but if you're watching paranormal livestream y'all are wild all right don't pop into my livestream be like that's Mary Edwards the third definitely I know it is you can get mad at me when I'm like well well Mary Edwards the third name so I don't think we could know that now ask her this you just go to every paranormal person's live and just say like have you asked Mary Edwards the third yet it's about y'all need help y'all need to come to one of our presentations and take notes all right whiskey you did something over the weekend I wanted to go to it but I had to study for finals to tell us about the builtane festival I went to the builtane festival yeah I just figured you know I wasn't here last time to talk about it and you guys might like to hear about like the going Zons and pagan type stuff so I went there actually less fenders this year than the previous year which was kind of a bummer but I did make it I took my mom with me get her out of the house you know and I made a bet with her because I don't know farmers markets like or like us everywhere but a lot of farmers markets here in Utah every booth has 3d printed dragons okay it's just a level of restraint that I have because I have not 3d printed a single dragon and I have two 3d printers so I paid a bet I was like hey how many booths over under five you know are gonna have three dragons the answer was one oh wow one we follow up on an epoxy dragon which we decided to not count and so while there were less booths there was a lot of variety which is really cool I bought some more like station lavender water and then I bought some Florida water I got this huge thing I'm gonna show you guys like this look at this fancy little guy yeah and like you love that this is you know it's old school like a little perfume bottle very cool it's solid okay you know not flimsy this was literally seven dollars the prices there were great I also got some free chapstick while I was there my lips are super chapped and I was like so it must be noticeable that's cool please take this made some good friends I also got one spooky thing I will also show only to the exclusive people here on the podcast you know just just in case this is a candle of Baffamet I'll look at that so I don't know if you guys those of you who listen you probably didn't know this but there's a Baffamet on the wall behind me and now on the the stuff where I keep the spooky things and dead things on the bookshelf that's off camera there is now a candle of Baffamet that smells really nice actually I'm not gonna burn this even though I could because it looks so freaking cool so yeah it was a good time um I made some connections with some people so you know we'll see uh maybe maybe we can bring some of them on the podcast we can ask them about all their cool stuff they're up to that'd be great very nice all right guys do you remember that cheesy quote from the 2010s live laugh love that was on a sign and most people's house like most people's houses you are and there was a movie like oh I never saw the movie there was a movie I mean it's good it's simple it's straightforward well I thought about that today and thought it could use another word to really push to achieve those everyday goals which is heal when we heal we can reach our fullest potential for success in living our happiest life so in order to do that I think everyone should reach out to Lara Dawn clinical hypnotherapist she's the best rated in her city and she gives free over-the-phone consultations and you can contact her on her website at new donhipnotherapist.com all right guys you know what time it is one time is it it's time for moon tales with moon I haven't done that in a while I missed it the short intro song there I made it up it sounds like a Tamagotchi beef everybody's doing aliens I don't know did you guys ever well like back in the 90s I don't know if you guys remember this but you could like call a phone number and it would sound what they at least thought sounded like outer space do you guys did you guys know that no there's a number you could come up with the time and temperature but I didn't know about this oh no no there's a number you can call space so there's a number you can call where children say wonderful things to you Oh my gosh how heartwarming yeah so everybody my my theme song reminds me of the outer spacing on call in like fourth grade well anyways today I want to tell you about a true store well, true stories of a night at the R. So in October, like this after 11, there's a hospital running on a skeleton crew. I don't know what that was. Do you guys know what that is?
Yes. Yep. Tell me. Barely.
There. The bare minimums. So when all the skinny people are working. The skeleton crew.
I like it. But yes, Deanna just a correct. So the moon looked extra big that night according to our nurse named Kendra. So my guess it was probably a super moon.
So Kendra had 10 years of experience under her belt. She saw the moon shining out the window and you know what she did? She groaned. Oh no, a full moon.
Here we go. So at 11.07, a guy in his 40s came in after falling off of his roof. Get this while trying to quote, fix the signal from the moon. He thought it was sending him messages.
So his diagnosis was he fractured his wrist and sustained a concussion. Like that's if you fell off his roof, he is lucky. That is all he did. Oh my gosh.
And 11.42, an elderly woman was rushed in with third degree burns on her hands. She claimed she tried to quote, boil the werewolf curse out of her after watching something scary on TV. Poor old lady. 12 16 a.m.
A couple was brought in post crashing into a tree after swerving to avoid a white animal with red eyes after it ran across the road. The injuries were minor and no white animal was ever found. 12 47 a.m. A man was brought in by the police after they found him naked and howling in a cemetery.
His drug test came back. My name is Whiskey. All right. I'm 50% sure this might have been Whiskey.
His drug test came back clean and he received a diagnosis of acute psychosis, but had never had prior history of that. And that's why my mom calls me a cutie. She loves you. OK, and at 2 a.m.
the power flickered in the arbriefly. So the generator kicked on. All the systems were fine, but three monitors in the trauma base showed flatlines for 10 seconds, but no patients were in those beds. After the doodoo doodoo.
After that night, Kendra said you never know what kind of crazy the phone full moon brings out. So that is your moon tell with moon. So is that all at the same all at the same hospital with the skeleton crew? All that crazy.
Poor Kendra. She got a rough night. Kendra, if you're listening, we're sorry. I'm not using a swig.
I want to share for moral support. That is rough. Well, I'll buy you all by your raspberry dream and cook it because those suckers are back and they're amazing. So we have a big next to you.
You could get you one of those. I'm all about those places. Belma. Belma.
You're here. I am. I'm missing you. So can you please tell me a conspiracy theory?
So I was recently listening to a podcast. I think it was like, is it cold or something? And they at the end do a would you rather? Culti themed?
So it made me kind of curious. I was like, oh, I could do some of those. So today I was going to ask, would you rather discover the government has been hiding aliens for decades? But you're the only person who knows or that the government is entirely run by aliens, but you can't prove it.
Wait, what do you mean? This is the truth. There's not what you rather. Have you watched the Discovery Channel?
There's clear evidence that we're being controlled by the alien government and also the private from us this whole time. So I don't know what both. I would say number one. So crazy.
People say you're crazy. You're the only one. That's OK. People already think I'm crazy.
So this is my solution. Move to a different country. It's only the American government. OK.
Ooh, a loophole. So yeah, I thought that was kind of fun. So I like some other ones that I want to do in the future because that's kind of fun. It's fun.
You know what hoax I saw recently? What's that? Coming up on Mother's Day, I saw so many people posting and reposting and retweeting and everything. A fake statistic that said that less crime is committed on Mother's Day.
Guilty. And then I started having people tell me that and I'm like, well, how much less crime? So I don't know. That's just what it said.
So this is a friendly reminder, guys, do research. There's absolutely none. So that less crime is committed on Mother's Day. Maybe you should have found it open a book.
OK, I've really did that for humor. It was purely for humor. My part. Because it says the one that I posted said that moms can't be committing crimes when they're having to have breakfast with their kids.
So I thought it was fun. OK, that fact though, I worked this batch for having control and at one point also for some county agencies and at least according to the law enforcement, I worked with, you know, when there's a lot of crime, probably the most crime that they deal with. Thanksgiving, all moon Christmas. Super Bowl.
Oh, yeah. Something Super Bowl Sunday, they tend to have more especially domestic incidences. And I don't like I said, I don't know if that's nationwide, but at least in the area, I'd especially with something. And everybody flushes their toilet at the same time on Super Bowl Sunday.
The sewers will get over. I'm just kidding. And alligators. And alligators.
All right. If you haven't given it really a Ronin on the list and after you, you've also listened, I'm go over to them there fabulous folk and really find a list and keep it creepy. I forgot my new sign. Keep it creepy friends.
Oh, sorry. That's moon moon says see you later. Hey, have a good one. Bye.
