John and Christian Vande Velde, join the HeadSet Sports PodCast to share some of their incredible experiences, accomplishments, and present projects.  Both are amongst  the most elite cyclists cyclists to have ever represented the United States in a combined 3 Olympic Games (1972, 2000 & 2008). To add to this incredible accomplishment - John's daughter/Christian's sister (Marisa) represented the United States as a National Cycling Team member.  This incredible interview shares a tremendous amount of insight into the sport of cycling from numerous perspectives. John Vande Velde shares with us his perspectives of "today's" cycling athlete - compared to the elite cyclist from the 70's and 80's. He also shares with us his "AMAZING" new ideas and concepts for the growth and evolution of sport of cycling! This concept and insight is incredible ... (awesome!) Christian is one of the greatest riders to have ever represented the United States as an International Professional. His accomplishments have made him one of the most elite cyclists in the World at the professional level. As a professional, Christian competed in all 3 races that comprise the Grand Tours - The Gyro (Italy), The Tour de France, and the Velta (Spain). In 2008, he attained the "Pink" Jersey during a stage at the Gyro. That same year, he finished the Tour de France 4th Overall. Presently, Christian is the voice for NBC Sports (covering cycling), and he is also scheduled to be the voice of cycling for NBC's coverage of 2020-21 Olympic Games. At the same time, Christian hosts one of the Most Popular classes for Peleton! Both John and Christian discuss the underlying mental skill sets needed to succeed in cycling.
