Headship And SubmissionBible Reading: 1 Corinthians 11:2-16, Ephesians 5:22-33Text: 1 Cortinthians 11:16Paul describes three “headship” relationships: Jesus is thehead of every man; man is the head of the woman, and God(the Father) is the head of Christ. Because Paul connects thethree relationships, the principles of headship are the sameamong them. This means that in any relationship, there shouldbe a leader. Without a leader chaos soon sets in. Just as anation without a leader spells disaster, so too is a familywithout a head. Why the man? Paul gives the reason inEphesians 5 verse 23: “For the husband is the head of thewife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, andis himself its Saviour.” This is how God ordained this.Preached 12/03/2023 AM By Rev Lourens Nel
